Kind of funny
I just had to make a thread about this.
I remember when I said to myself in the past that I would play Maplestory until it's dead.
I used to go to high school and I had so much free time in my hands to actually grind and be hyped for new updates.
Without actually realizing it, I began to play less and less.
I'm currently at a point where I spend all my time with my friend, girlfriend and work for university that I don't even have the urge to play this game anymore.
Growing up is fun, but it sucks at the same time.
You don't actually quit this game by deciding to do so, you grow out of it.

It's how maplestory progress that is making maplers leave, i did start playing since pre beta now im sort of losing interest in it
If you ever get the urge to play again, find a up to date PS, play for 3 days get to max level and quit again. yayayayyaa

I always quit then come back when I have a large amount of free time.
I didn't play maplestory during the last 3 years of high school because of how busy i was, studying hard, doing all these extracurricular things, trying to build my resume/application so i could get into the schools i wanted. Then when i got in and started university, i suddenly had all this free time (even with friends, school & a girlfriend) because i was accustomed to working hard already but i no longer worked a part time job on the side so here i am, playing maplestory lol.
Naturally though, my playing time is erratic depending on the time of the year (midterms/finals).
you posting this on basil shows that you still have an urge to play maple. am i wrong? why not keep this to yourself? why did you have to login on basilmarket,and post this?
If you stop playing like that then yes, you will be back. If you quit by your own choice, then you probably won't be coming back. I managed to stay off the game for ~2 years so far. I just wish I stopped going on Basilmarket but that's much easier said than done.
the game gets to boring and repetitive to quicky now no matter what class it is. glad i haven't touch my account for a long time and just gave it away to a stranger

ive been going through this since since the first time I quit in 08
I was like that at the end of 2012. I had decided that it was time for me to finish MS, and I uninstalled it from my computer and vowed to never put it back on. Alas, curiosity got ahold of me with the new classes and I put MS back on my computer in November last year.
You might grow out of the game, but you can also shrink back into it just as easily.

I always notice myself going back though. Eventually, I do see myself quitting for good
