MapleStory lag help
This problem use to be bearable, but now it has become unbearable. Every time I attack a monster the game lags. This even happens when the monsters spawn, so this makes training impossible. Also, I have town lag, but that doesn't concern me as much as the attacking lag. I've heard about other people having this problem. Is there anyway to fix this? There's nothing wrong with my laptop, seeing as how it could handle this before. Thank you.

No, something called Mobile Intel(R).
Is your video card AMD? I had heard MS doesn't work very well with AMD video driver. I would try to update the video card driver to see if it will help, if you are adventurous, you might want to try all the older different versions of the driver and see which one works best, if the latest driver didn't help. Also its got to do when "new" animation comes up to display (like npc, new attack animation, mob spawn) MS needs to talk to the server, so if your ISP is far away (many hops) from from Nexon's server it will cause extra lag too.

@lazershock Its random. I was lagging hardcore in Sleepywood yesterday.
I have the same problem. Started 2 days before demon avenger patch. It started with ms freezing every min then my whole pc just freezing and lagging like crazy. Couldn't even boot this morning and spent 4 hours fixing that, cleaned all the dust from inside (not sure if that did anything) lag still a major problem. Every time i click or scroll i get this blue wheel of death ahhh someone help me. I'm a bit computer retarded
Remove pando media booster. Uninstall it NOW.
@MysticalMage: I bet the place you lag in town is right near Cassandra and Gaga right? As for the attacking lag I had that once, but it went away after a patch or two.

My connection is about 3MB/S too. In certain parts of town I lag like crazy.The attacking lag is what makes it worse. When other people attack I don't lag.
This is like the town lag, a hard problem to solve because not everyone has it; I for example am COMPLETELY unaffected by the lag people talk about and my connection is pretty meh (I have DSL so my connection is only about 3 MB/S, but thats enough to play most games with little to no lag, even games like vindictus), and i've never had town lag. My friend on the other hands town lag is so bad that going into town freezes ms for her so this clearly isn't a server issue, but there must be some common factor(s) that tie EVERYONE who has it, together.

1.)Decent specs. Not the greatest though.
