computer in some sort of safe mode i cant turn off?
so i got a computer from my uncle for christmas, but he said he did something so i can be "safe" online with it. now, i cant look up anime on google, i cant see youtube comments, and i cant look at anything fun. does anyone know what i can do? im on google chrome. i tried turning off safety search, theres no programs installed on my computer. help please.

What computer did he get you? I need to know so that way I can do the same thing to my nephews in the far off future. Nothing better than an overprotective uncle who believes that kids actually try to stay "safe" online. I feel for you bro.
What browser are you using? Nobody will be able to help you without knowing what browser add-ons/extensions you have, and without a list of installed programs. It could be something as simple as the websites being blocked in the browser options, or a program that was installed. Either way, there's no logical reason you should have to reformat your computer. Anything can be removed, even if it means having to use command lines to do it.

Definitely run a clean install.
It sounds like a perm safe mode that prevents anything from running like flash.
