There is no Ellinel or Gold Beach quests?
I got to level 30 on my BT and I don't see either of these quests in my sidebar, is this a glitch or do I need to do something first?
Also, is job advancement automatic or...?

The quest is for level 35+. You're only level 30.
I can't answer your first question but BT don't have Job Advancement, they just unlock skills through Levels and Skill Points on specific skill branch.
