when built tanky hes more of a ultility bruiser because of his whirl winds and r. however most get static shiv (nearly giving him 80% crit + what ever to make it 100%) and become super powerful ad user.

Like timesealer62 said it's hard to get your knockup active while you're ganking. However If you had someone with knock ups in ever lane I can see some pretty ganks post-six just because of the range of your ult. Then again last time I played him was when he was first released on PBE so I don't know if they changed that or not. =P

I've seen people go bruiser, full tank, and full glass canon. It's up to you, experiment with builds and see what you like.
