Physics Vector Addition Help
If anyone would be so kind as to help me with this physics problem, I would be most grateful.
(Point A) Optics shot a golf ball 150 yards at 53.13 degrees North of East (to point B), followed by a shot 70 yards due east straight into the hole. How far and in what direction was the hole from point A?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Find the magnitude of the resultant vector by taking the square root of the sum of its squared x component (sum of the x components of vectors A and B) and its squared y component (sum of the y components of vectors A and B). You can find the direction of the resultant by taking the arctangent of the resultant's y component divided by its x component.
I'm still confused on how you find the distance to the hole from Point A.
