@OvenMitts: Same, same. low 700s here, too.

How do you improve Writing, cuz I don't plan on going up in CR at all (710). Writing is a 600, but I somehow messed up the MCQ. WTH is that? @_@
You did well on the essay? I think I'm just a grammar nazi. But I do end up getting lowish scores in grammar as well. I think the best way to study grammar is to pick up a grammar book and just read it through like crazy (even though I never did that, I regret not doing so.) Just learning more about how English works as an axillary to w/e school curricula you currently do.
I just fail in the English sections. ]= Always overthink those CR questions. I failed in the Grammar section when all my diagnostics were good. o-o

Also, ofc 800 in Math. All the smart kids rock those. xD I'm guessing 800 in Math II as well?
Yep.

If you fail at CR questions, try looking at some ACT ones. The way to tackle those is to read the entire passage. Most of the questions are main idea and most of the time, the answers are literally QUOTES from the passage. Like if the passage was about why a certain type of elephant was different from another, the answers are literally like listing the warrants the passage gives. I get 36's in reading on the ACT whereas its more like low 700's on the SAT.

and I agree. CR on the SAT is dumb. =.=
I found it to be alot easier. I made a 2260 on the SAT my first time. Took it a second time to try to super score but both reading and writing went down and math stayed the same which was already an 800 anyways so it was basically an epic fail. =.= The ACT reading is great because there aren't any vocabulary questions which are the bane of my standardized testing ability.
Edit: Do you need to study for this crap, because I kinda slacked off for everything, and only my SATI is meh as of now. =/ I dunno if I'm supposed to practice or what. So much effort. ]=
How was the ACT? I got a 2110 on my SATs, but I plan to superscore that to a 2210. Hopefully. =3

Hmm, you always have to pay though, no worries.
Sounds a lot different from our system which is basically just marks in school+SAT/ACT

@OvenMitts: Well... lmao. Not much.

For Ontario, the Grade 10 math exam is boardwide... and so is the Grade 12 English exam. We also do EQAO testing for the whole province in grades 3, 6 and 9 to asses reading writing and mathematics skills, but the scores are not important.
We also do a "Literacy Test" in grade 10 which is the easiest thing ever. It just makes sure you know English lmao.

I'm planning to take the SAT though... you have to pay if you're Canadian.

Bleh. I'm Canadian so I can't share.

Although I am getting my report card mailed to me in a few weeks... I'll be sure to make a thread about that.
Just curious, what goes down in Canada in the context of standardized tests? o.o
