hitting 10m per line of ishtar on normal requires something close to 2~2m. though on bosses it shouldn't be nearly as difficult

Uggghh this is so frustrating >.< All the classes I enjoy all end up being a little bit to difficult to fund (for me at least). It's going to be a long time before I find the class

i think hitting 10m is pretty easy..like you'll hit that before 2-2

I was capping on my WA with about 18k dex (clean).
My Merc has yet to 100% cap on regular mobs with 33k dex (clean).

@PandaSheepBoy hitting high lines requires significantly less as a wa LOL, since SoH is 345% (385% on single target), compared to ishtar's 200% per line

It varies. But to give you a rough estimate you're looking at a minimum 200b spent well, however you want to arrive at that figure.
Amp up your %attack lines (70%+), 10+ star your tyrants, and 2-2 clean should be manageable with ~14k dex.

Getting a Merc to 2m~2mil is not an easy thing to do. I am talking about clean here, fairly easy with buffs to do it.

I haven't officially started funding my Merc but since you're a WA, would hitting high lines with SoH require alot less funding or just hitting high lines in general alot easier than hitting high
lines on Merc?

You would have to spend a crap load. My wife just hit 2m-2m clean with 14.5k dex and hits anywhere from 13-20m crits with isthar ring on endgame bosses. Her pdr is only 79% I think so it could be higher. Mercedes eat your wallet up
