windows 8.1 here, can't get past the loading screen as well. the process chain indicates a deadlock in task manager, but I'm not sure how to address it. that being said, I've noticed the "network" communication stalls to 0 Mbps when the loading screen is reached before it disconnects. The times I have managed to connect to the actual log in page were the times it had a rate of at least 0.1 Mbps...which is terrible. I put the priority of the process on real time and continuously refresh every time it indicates he client is not responding like I'm trying to use a defibrillator to rescue someone who just experienced cardiac arrest or something, and sometimes it will "resurrect" it briefly. wat do? this has been an ongoing problem for me regarding connectivity... when I do connect, it seems arbitrary.

Ok, so, as @cris1000 said, I'm running Windows 8 and it won't work. I tried running the game launcher as an administrator and I was able to log in. You guys try it.

Maplestory can't get passed the loading screen on my Windows 8.1 laptop, but my old Lenovo running XP loads it fine.

It was working fine for me. Then I went to do an errand, came back, turned my PC on, and ta-da. It's not working now. =P

Yay for nexon breaking the game yet again, I had it fixed when i couldn't login during the night walker patch.
Then some how i got it to work... they patch and it broke. i expected it though
