DA just does more damage and has better survivability. The main factor that makes DS better for most people is because you can just spam demon cry at wg. This, however, is only good if you're strong. If you're cry is doing like 300 - 500k lines then it's not very efficient. I feel 1m lines + is perfect for that map. DA is not far off too since moonlight slash and nether slice hit both 10 and 12 mobs respectively.

DS: I ****ing LOVED them on launch. I nearly quit my Maplestory love-of-my-life (my Paladin) to main it. I would even log on my DS at level 150ish at Aliens just to kill stuff because I loved the gameplay. But eventually the Hyper revamp came along and killed the gameplay for me. Their Fury system turned into another typical MP bar and everything just became so spammable to the point of the class just not having that oomph for me anymore. Their damage is pretty decent but their real advantage over Avengers comes from their ability to attack through DR.

DA: I thought they were pretty cool 1st-3rd job. 4th Job came up and Execution felt awesome but I didn't have that love for it that I had for DS. But then I tried Zak'ing and bossing with DA and the Exceed/Hp system was such a cool twist to bossing and it became more fun than DS ever was. They are definitely stronger than DS and way better at surviving. DA are better bossers but DS are MUCH better mobbers and faster levelers. DA advantage over DS is how freaking easy to fund they are.

id like to add from a playability standpoint {so far} i still prefer the DS over the DA... having got to 150 on the DA today, although damage wise DA owns DS at 167% hp at 150 on my DA i crit well over 700k a line with a unscrolled weapon... and the DS i have is slightly superior in %str and weapon att

I've played both to 200, and by experience DA was quite better.
I honestly was getting a bit tired of the map crushing moves of DS. Though there's nothing wrong with that just my opinion.
Dmg wise my DA out does my DS easy even with its blue blood, simply because its faster and with SI you really just don't know what you people are missing out on when it comes to DA.
The preconceived notions of it not being an original Demon just shows what you don't know about the class in general just my two cents.

What's your guys' opinion on them both? im thinking continuing my DA who's level 70.

my avenger is catching up to my DS but in nova our A nebs for hp% are 100m and 200m, making it very easy to have 40% just with nebs! and with gear like czaks and chtps being great at lower levels is easy... hitting 300k per line at 130 with just under 90k hp buffed... my avenger will be the player i {eventually} get to 250

I have both DS and DA who are lvl 190+.
Demon Slayers are better. Better hypers, more skills to use, generally better. However I enjoy my DA more because I find it more fitting for my style. They have unbelievable amounts of HP, don't depend on pots too much, and I like the skill animations more. Plus DAs are very easy to fund and hit high damages easily.
