Any fellow EMTs out there that can answer my question

So I'm a certified EMT. However, I did not manage to do anything with the certification. Basically I thought I was going to get my drivers license back when I took the class. 1 year later I finally got my drivers license because my parents finally let me get one (You basically can't work as an EMT if you can't drive an ambulance) I know I have to do some stuff to get continuing education credit and probably take an EVOC (emergency vehicle driving course) course However, I'm afraid that reading my old notes and book will not help me remember the information. Should I retake the class? What should I do so that I would be prepared to work as an EMT? What should I do so that a potential employer will allow me to work with them after having a long break since the class and national exam?

Please leave a comment if some of you guys are an EMT and know what to do. Please give me your opinion as well even if you aren't one.

unfaltering

Do a volunteer/intern session first, like the ones you took for the class? Where they let you ride with them for a few days

Apply anyways. On the first day of the job, work it normally, ask questions, ask what you should review after work is over.

The longer you're out of work, the harder it is to get one.

What I've heard from a graduated Engineer anyways.
