Finding a main
I don't know about you guys finding a main that I want to spend all my time/effort/meso on is so hard for me to do. It always has been. For 2015 I kind of wanted to try and find that main character because I'm just tired of hopping around from one character to another. If the game lasts all year of course lol.
So I was wonder, how do you guys find a main and stick to it? Is there this special formula I've been unaware of? Or maybe am I just over thinking it, and I honestly wouldn't doubt this answer haha.
Thank you in advance!
Happy New Year everyone!

Cool thank you guys! I've decided to stick it out with my bishop. Hopefully fund it up a bit. Might switch on back to f/p but I'm not sure yet.
When I first started playing, I started with an I/L mage, and I really didn't enjoy at all tbh.
It wasn't really fun for me, and I also kept dying.
Then I switched over to a pally and I doubt I'll ever change my main from a pally. I die much less and I like my attacks and such and how it works.
Find what you didn't like about your class, then find a class that doesn't have that problem.
Yeah I jumped around a bunch too, then I started funding my cannoneer more. Once you get a character vastly above the ranges of your other characters, it's easier to call it your main.
Nostalgia
My I/L was my first pre-BB character and I can't let it go even though the class is terrible now.
And I like freezing things.
Sticking with a class you enjoy will benefit you along the way
Events will go by to make that char stronger
You won't quit it because you enjoy it
I had this problem as well. So I just made a new character ( a shadower ) and made a perfect weapon. this way if I quit, I'll feel guilty that I'm just letting 35+bill go to waste, or I can play a class I like and have actual items for it. I realize that the reasons I quit my other characters were because I wasn't heavily funded so I could just move on to the next one. Once you invest in a character, you'll be more likely to stick with it
Pick the character you like the most and stick with it. That's all you need to do.
Well I started my original main when I started playing maplestory during the beta.
Leveling was hard so I didn't think about making other characters, at some point I reached 2th job, 3th job and eventually even 4th all before bigbang.
I invested so much time in it I thought of it as a waste to start all over again.
At some point I got hacked and couldn't use my original account anymore, and I quit the game for a year or so.
so I had to start over again, obviously I made the same character again because of the nostalgic feeling playing my original job again.
So that's why my main was a hero, not because the play style I good, but because I made that decision 9+ years ago.
Zero - Great bossing/mobbing unfunded. Best part is, you don't spam one button bossing/mobbing ( which i found really boring )
Dawn Warrior - Fun to play w Luna / Solar stance and switch skills, a set of mobbing skills and bossing skill to play along
Blaze Wizard - Excellent mobbing, good bossing
DS - Good at both bossing and mobbing, bonus on boss dmg, high mobility, high survivability , get kinda boring when bossing / mobbing after a while ( for me ) since i spam Demon cry and Demon Impact
Kaiser - 2 things that makes it fun : Dragon Form and Gigas Wave
That's all i have been experienced so far and my top favorite are DW and Zero And it's JMT ANW
Play all the different classes to 120 for link skills and decide which one was most fun.
I just try different classes, take account how fun it is and it's bossing capabilities cause i like bossing and then i just drop a ton of mesos so i can never look back
Just find a playstyle you enjoy, you're definitely overthinking it.
