How did maplestory start
Like... what did nexon/wizet do during beta that got so many players into the game? Back then, there was four classes...
I descovered this game around when pirates came out and was able to play the game when dual blades came out, so I wasnt playing back then to know what nexon did.

you could explore, there were no hackers, damage and level didnt matter, thieves didnt exist
i only started playing maple because my friend back in 2004/2005 said "DOWNLOAD THIS NOW."

People were actually friendly and helpful.
Wizet had really fun events too.
I remember when beta ended, they gave us 2x exp and we got the Mark of the Beta bandana. I was like 10 or 11 then. Don't remember much but it was fun exploring.
