Are Heroes meant to have a low range?

I was told that heroes are meant to have a low range because you have ACA. In other words I was told if you have a 50k range you actually have a 100k range because of ACA. Is this true? And sorry if it is not clear.
Evans magic amp and dragon fury are added to their range too. Phantoms have the 30% damage from aria in their range but not the 25% from combo obviously.
Oh yea those two, I have a Evan but never really check their range XD

Well, yes... we Heroes get lower attack range from the weapons, but ACA makes up for it.

I had a DrK friend that has a bigger attack range than mine (but hits lower), i asked him to lend me his spear and when i equipped it, my range increased like crazy...

This only proves the difference between weapon multipliers
this is wrong. hero dont have low range u just need to fund. hero 1h weaps have low multiplier but that just means u need to spend less on your weap and more on your gears. its rely not that complicated. for example its best for a mech to have a godly gun like the 227att im making becus of the high gun multiplier. a mage wouldnt get nearly as much from a similiar staff so a mage should focus on %int much more than puting funds into its weap
The multiplier doesn't affect whether atk or %stat is better. The multiplier will affect both exactly the same. The multiplier directly affects your range not just your weapon.
You are right that a mage will get less range from a godly staff as a mech would from a godly gun but you fail to realize that the same is true for %stat. A class with a high multiplier (or lots of skills that affect range like a BaMs Battle Mastery) will get more out of %stat as well. So all classes fund themselves the same. All classes need a good balance of atk and %stat.
We have lower ranges because our weapon multipliers are pretty low compared to other classes. 1h Swords/axes/bws are 1.2 and 2h weapons have the 1.34 multiplier. Where as other weapons have lower attack but higher multipliers like bows iirc have a 1.4 multiplier or something around that range pirate weapons are a great example since they have very low attack numbers but high multipliers to make up for it. Plus, our buffs are all %total damage versus %attack which shows up in your range other than MW, AFA, and Rage.
doesn't damage multiplier apply only for weapons, not class

We don't have low ranges because we have ACA, those have nothing to do with each other

Edit: I misunderstood, my fault. Heroes don't have as low ranges as some other jobs. Our range is "lower" because ACA isn't a factor of our range. It still shows up in the damage we do, though.

Yeah, the damage boost from ACA doesn't show up on your range.
Edit: well, they're not really supposed to have a "low" range, but ACA and that bossing skill that uses all your combo orbs don't contribute to your attack range; only your damage.
