oh i didnt know there was a difference between flash drives and hard drives i tried googling it but im still confused tbh which one is better o.o
Flash drives are much better than hard drives. They're more durable, faster, and can also be more compact. The only downside to flash storage is that they're more expensive. For the screen size, I would suggest you going into a Best Buy, Apple Store, etc and looking at the difference between a 13 inch and a 15 inch. We can make suggestions on what size we feel is better, but when it all comes down to it, the screen size is really up to you. @ApplesAreOkay has pretty much summed things up though. 250gig hard drive should be good. 8 gigs of ram will be good for most people as well. The difference in performance for an i5 compared to an i7 isn't much of a difference. So i5 is good as well. As for the OS, I've heard some people like Yosemite, while others dislike it. If you have an iPhone, there's some pretty good features that come with Yosemite as well.
i just bought the same macbook you posted for school last week. it's awesome. so light and small enough to fit on classroom desks.
and since it has no hard drive and just flash memory (like a usb flash drive), its silent and doesn't get hot at all.

i reccomend it
Macbooks lasts for a good 5 years at least =). I had my laptop for about 1 year now and I feel like it's gotten slower and is going to break down in the next 1-2 years.
i dont see why other people having macbooks is justification for getting one
bc people feel the need to attack anyone who wants to get a macbook

what don't you get? 13' or 15' are both a decent size. ram size is how big your main memory is. there's also disk memory. flash storage = SSD (solid state drive), just google it for an explanation.

Youre looking for a decent size.

Macbook pro.
13'' is great for school. Easy to carry.
Youre gunna go for
the 250gb hard drive (memory space) - You can opt for higher (500gb) (Dont go for 100gb if its an option)
8gb ram
Intel Iris
i5 would do you fine. i7 would increase price alot.
^Would get you the cheapest, and newest version of the macbook pro. Its what I have & I love it.
I only hope your macbook wont come in yosemite.
