How does the equipment exchange for the lv160 items work?

how does it work? If, for example, i had a legendary emp mage robe, could i exchange it for a sweet(w)ater robe and equip it on my theif, and it will be legendary? since the sweet(w)ater equips are non-class bound...

@PurityEND: In JMS, they do not get destroyed. You can try it until it works. Once it works the 140/150 gear will be destroyed/consumed though.

so it has a chance to fail, but if it fails does anything bad happen? or do you just lose the anvil and you can try again

I've asked this same question before, and from the people I talked to ingame that was very reliable with information (Everything the said about RED was true)
Then the sweet(w)ater gear is different from the commerci level 160 gear but honestly I don't think anyone knows forsure until it comes out.

From my understanding you do not exchange it.

You obtain your lv 160 gear from the Trade quest thingy(like a pq). These equips can then receive or have the enhancements applied on a lvl 140-150 gear anviled to them. (The gear that was anviled will disappear once applied onto the lvl 160 gear).

Anyway OT: Yes I believe that's how it works. Mage robe -> non-class bound

[Edit] Ninja'd ;_;.

If you can read Japanese: http://uni-wz.com/blog-entry-2237.html (It's already been released in JMS 3.20)

I'm pretty sure that you have to find the sweet[water item and then use your 150/140 item as a sort of scroll to transfer its stats to it.

It transfers the potential tier (but not the potential stats)

And yeah, you can trade your mage overall for the common overall
