Just got hacked
I know there's a million threads like these everday, but yea...
I just logged onto my character after a month or so of not playing (Last time i was on was a bit before halloween)
I go onto my character and see that my robe, cape, glove, and shoes are missing (all my mesos are gone, but I only had like 20mil anyway)
I'm not even sure how this is possible.
I have never given out my account information, I don't go on suspicious sites, and I havent even been on MS so I don't think i would have done anything for someone to hack me (like the MTS exploit or something)
If anyone has any info on what happened, could you enlighten me? I worked hard for my equips, really dissapointed its all gone now.

questions:
Did you share your account info with someone else (even someone from your own family?)
Did you have an updated and trusted anti-virus, and did you periodically scanned your computer for spy-wares?
Did you have a strong password for both your maple and registered email?
Did you log in your email or maple account in a public computer, or maybe at a friend's house or at school (most of them are infected)?
The increase in hacked accounts is troubling... hopefully they'll improve the security with the new update, though based on past experiences, i really don't expect much from it.

thanks for the suggestion, I checked out the thread, and I think the most likely reason is either a fake java app or a keylogger (but I use paypal with no problems)
I think when I stopped mapling, I got less suspicious about the things i pressed >_>

I didn't find my Ign on the temporary files
Only maple related things were the maple installation stuff and maple gadget

i'm running a virus scan right now, can malwarebytes detect things like that?
Same thing happened to me. Logged on after a ~2 month hiatus. Only things were messing were mesos (~15mil), my dagger, and my Dep. star. I'm not mad, just perplexed. o.o

Did you log onto nexon website daily? Or frequently? Because it's unsafe too..
