Fafnir katara or Japanese Katara for transposing
I been debating to myself which one would be better overall for transposing. Seeing as many people say japanese katara, I bought one (like 5mil) and noticed that it has lower attack than fafnir katara (11), and wondered if it was even worth the extra slot as even with primes, it will still be 1 attack below (still haven't looked at how much this would affect enhancements). I also have noticed that fafnir katara has 12 more luk than the japanese katara. I also noticed that you can't psok the japanese katara while you can with the fafnir, which I'm unsure if the japanese katara will be tradable once after transposing it if you never wore it. So this actually made me wondering, is the japanese katara truly better than the fafnir katara?

The katara must be psok'd before transposing.
I don't think they've changed the rates recently.

Yes. The only Katara where this doesn't work is the Utguard one.

^ Well that's your choice but others might buy. He should still psok in case.
@turdaldit: i know, but the value still goes down. transposed / psok'd items will only be a one-time buy, so the buyer cannot resell it which will hurt the value of the item. It's just not worth it all for 30% boss to me.
@mikeyp if you equip the katara then psok it then transpose it is tradeable one time as a SW katara so you are still able to sell it

Don't transpose. i'd get level 160 katara and prime that instead. You're going to waste all that value for it to be stuck all for 30% boss and a few bits of damage? not worth it imo. i quit playing in general so i wanted to sell all my equips, but my 27% luk SW face and eye and katara is stuck, losing lots of value when you decide to leave the game.

First of all, base stats doesn't mean anything if you want to transpose.
Second, japenese katara is psokable after equipping
TLDR: Japanese katara.
yes, it has 8 slots. if you want to be cheap, get the fafnir.
