basically, they made it legal because it was kind of like if you bought a car, but couldn't change engines or pieces on it yourself, but rather, take it to the specific car dealer so that they could do it at the price they wanted.
Why did they make it legal, and whats Appulous?
They made it legal because as the buyer of the physical product, we used to technically not "own" the product in sense. Apple used to own the software on the ipods and iphones, and it was illegal to change said software. That was very, very wrong.
Jailbreaking allows you to get a source that you can get an app to install cracked apps, but it's no different than downloading Firefox, because you can go to any torrent site and do pretty much the same thing.
That is an option, yes. But there is also the fact that jailbreaking is completely legal and free to be accessed by anyone with the devices. That is like deleting all threads with youtube links in them because there is copyrighted material on youtube.
since when they are no longer ilegal?
Supposedly the fact that you can download apps for free with a jailbroken device. Orders are orders, even if I could care less.
But why? There is nothing wrong with it.
Mods aren't worried about it. B is.
