Thief

Which class is more fun. Nightlord or Nightwalker?

I kinda wanna make a nightlord for the cash shop sharing, but I wanna make sure I'll enjoy myself, I'll make a nw if they are more enjoyable, just cant decide

I like NL more than NW but i'm only at 3rd job and i've gotten my NL to 4th. I really don't like the whole 1v1 from lvls 1-99. It sucks </3

@Hungry: The 15% from Haste is actually Evasion Rate. What you're talking about is % Avoidability, which raises Weapon and Magic Avoid by a percentage, so yes, that would be useless if you're already near max Avoid (e.g. 8695 * 1.15x = 9999 Avoid).

Evasion Rate doesn't increase Avoid in the stat window. It's a hidden stat used to determine the rate at which you evade the enemy that's dependent on your Avoid, your character's level, the enemy's Accuracy, and the enemy's level. So let's say for example that after factoring in everything, you have a 80% Evasion Rate against a boss like PB excluding Haste. Once you factor in Haste, it'd be 80 * 1.15x = 92% Evasion Rate against PB, which is reduced to 90% because of the 90% Evasion Rate hard cap change that was introduced in the Unleashed patch. Prior to the patch, funded DB's and Phantom would have 100% Evasion Rate, which is pretty much like having godmode.

@Revolutionist: What 15% evasion rate? Unless you mean the 15% avoid passive from haste, most high leveled thief's should have both weapon and magic avoid capped.
Night Lords also have double flash jump, with more horizontal range. And all thief classes get evasion skills. o.o
Technically, NW's have 15% Evasion Rate and 40% Dodge Rate vs. NL's that only have 45% Dodge Rate. Their total Evasion Rate is much higher than NL's, which does help in training and for bosses who don't deal % HP attacks. Not to mention the Rapid Evasion (Back Step) in 1st job.

NW feels clunky sometimes since they have to throw 2 times
Night Walkers get double Flash Jump, that can also move vertically.
And they get the evasion skill on top of that.

Man that's a lot of movement.
Around how much would it cost to fund a NL around the levels 110-116?

NW is only good for 1v1 combat, it's mobbing skills are completely useless and don't always trigger. I don't know about 3rd job because I quit after I hit level 30 on mine, it was that boring because you could only hit 1 mob at a time and you had to hit a mob 3 times or 3 mobs 1 time each within a time period to get the passive "AoE" skill to activate which isn't 100%. (I tested it and it's become random from time to time, it will trigger on 3 at times then afterwards it would only trigger after 5-10 hits)
I believe you'd have more fun with NL because it's older, it's sexier and honestly it isn't as popular as NW right now. Either way the equipment is expensive as hell to fund them.
