This game is a status game. You play to be well known. The game requires very little strategy but whatever requires strategy can easily be compensated by large numbers and NX premiums. This game is no longer about getting the highest level, or getting strong enough to kill bosses. This game is about how much wealth you have over other players, not necessarily how much more range you have. If you play for occasional fun, find another game. This game is about how much wealth you have over other players meaning that it is impossible to be good at this game without spending a lot of $$ or time (farming event stuff ie, 1-2 hours for ONE event scroll that can easily fail). You can be high leveled with a decent range but you are nowhere close to being recognizable in this game. And, at the end of the day, it is the wealth that you have over other players and other players recognizing that you have more wealth than they do that determine your worthiness in this game.

You should at least give the game another try. Maybe try Eunwol or even make a new class to get you going again. To be honest though it's up to you rather you stay or quit. I too have just recently came back and I find the game enjoyable. And you should stop comparing the game to what it was in the past; view it as a new game instead.

Eunwol is to be released on the 9th of July, so you could try that out?
I'd say wind archers are pretty cheap and got decent dmg.
You could always go to scania, since most items are cheap, so it's easier start.
Join a active Alliance and you'll see the social aspect is still there.
