@IcyShockMan: i use vortex followed by judgement, so basically i use them both equally, altough i use more demon trash(basic attack) and demon impact then vortex+judgement

@und3rknight: Which do you use more in 4th job, judgement or vortex?

the only usefulness of vortex is to combo with judgement which hits higher and at 4th i use demon impact more

@Satoshi1234: so yea sorry my mistake but I do know the answer too on your question, but it is already mentioned. The Critical Rate only affects on Judgement, because it belongs to the skill when you use it.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm still getting a bit of a mixed message here, though-- some saying that it adds to overall critical and some saying it doesn't. (I'm going to go with "doesn't" for now, though, since that came from a level 160 DS. XD)

(And, for the sake of argument, I use Vortex WAY more often than Judgment. It doesn't eat away my HP, it has a wider range, it looks infinitely cooler IMO (and the sound effect is nice too XD), its damage isn't too much lower (both at low ranks, though; so that may change), it's much faster, and, perhaps most importantly, the Fury cost is much, much lower. XD)

Sure I guess if you have the funds to hit high with it but not everyone in the game has that high of a range dude. Judgement is a much higher chance to 1hit then Vortex

Kazzoey is right, those guys who made the build are I - Di - Ots Vortex sux, Judgement doesn't so do yourself a favor and max Judgement

I spammed vortex at MP3 because I 1-hit them, and vortex has a bigger range and smaller fury cost than judgement. Also, I would think that vortex is used a lot more than judgement in 4th job.

Why would you max Vortex? Its used as nothing more than a "rush" type of move and nothing more. I have never seen anyone spam that skill for nothing other than fun. Might as well put them into Judgement

u should have been able to figure this out by just opening the stat window with 1+ point in judgement

No its only judgement. At level 160 almost all of my attacks are non critical but when I use Judgement, the numbers on it are critical all the time. I believe its only just for the skill.

All attacks of course. It increases your critical rate, open your Ability Stat window and when you use judgment draw you will see +10% on top of your total critical rate.

My critical rate is still only 15% with maxed Judgment
