Can't last in boss fights? I do just fine in Hell Gollux, Magnus and RA just dodge, though I can't kill hell Gollux or normal Magnus I can at lest survive till the time runs out.
Worth every single bit
Arans have one of the highest attacks out of all the warriors but not their hp. In fact, they have the smallest hp for a warrior class. However, I neb a hyper body skill on to my warrior pants. Their DPM is quite slow and the number of hits using Final blow and Beyond blade is 5hits. I would prefer their attacks to be around 6 or more. They are fun using combos but they can't last during boss battles. They are decent warriors and you will definitely enjoy them. If you want to boss make sure your boss % is around 100% and learn Hero's will skill.

I love arans but i hate how hard it is to link final blow to overswing in 4th job
I'm having a blast on mine, just came back after taking a break for a while and the whole playing style is changed up. Much faster attacking, better mobility, no need to be glued to your grinding to keep your combos up. My damage is okay for my level of funding too. I'd recommend trying it.
I loved playing mine from level 1-50, then again from 1-110 after losing my other account. Unfortunately, I already had a "main" char at the time so I couldn't be bothered to fund it with equips and skill books, so I felt forced to stop. To my knowledge, however, RED will fix the skill book issue, so I plan on remaking my aran again over the break.

Players aren't supposed to solo Empress. Being able to solo it is an astonishing achievement.
@felaedor just read your thread, does the 'revamp' of the combo system and all that count as the update nexon is planning for arans? or is it beyond that?
Define "worth it".
If you enjoy a character, they are "worth it".
If you're playing the game as some sort of competition where you need the best character with the best damage, then no character will be "worth it" indefinitely.
To me there the best but ya there pretty good
