Moments in One Piece where you cried
I'll admit, so far I cried 3 times in this anime(On episode 370 so far) and that's a record for any anime I've watched.
1. When Shanks sacrificed his arm for Luffy.
2. When Luffy beat Arlong and freed Nami-Tears of joy.
3. Enies Lobby-Combination of Robin;s feelings and when Usopp was telling Luffy to win against Rob Lucci when he looked like he was dead.

Brooks story...
When Robin grabbed Frankys nuts in Water 7 arc
When Robin wanted to live
I didn't cry, but that was a great scene
Sanji when leaving the baratie, and when zoro found out that kuina died and there is so much more of it...
and to the dude saying its bad ok lol do you feel unique now saying that you're too swagg don't liking something that almost everyone here on basil do?
Whitebeard's death for sure, Teach plays too dirty.
Robin's "i want to live" scene. Namis backstory was amazing ^
probably one of the most memorable tear sessions i've had with one piece is merry's death. i was sitting in my bed crying and screaming for about 15 minutes while my dorm-mate kept telling me to shut up. then luffy's post-death depression over ace because you really aren't used to seeing luffy sad ever, it's a huge punch in the face. also nami's story, hers will remain one of my favorites out of the entire crew. i had a huge lady crush on her mother.
@mitarumetaro
yes thank you for stating something strikingly obvious, what was your point again?
merry getting burned
I never cried while watching One Piece, but there were some really sad moments for me
1) Ace died protecting Luffy and Luffy being depressed. Too much emotes.
2) Nami meets the Octopus guy(forgot his name) again that was once Arlong's subordinate and struggled to forgive him
3) Ace imprisoned in Impel Down when he heard about Luffy trying to save him
4) White Beard being boss and protecting his nakama and died standing like a boss. Much emotes.
@Plenair But One Piece isn't supposed to make you sad specifically. There are some parts like that (Merry, Robin backstory, Ace), but most of the series still draws a different type of emotion. It's more about the empathic response you get from it.
One Piece is literally about getting from one geographical point to another. That is the plot.
Do you watch the anime? You took away from everything one piece is; the bonds of friendship, chasing your dreams, helping those who can not help themselves, and decided to focus on that fact that they are looking for the greatest treasure in the world? The anime is so much more than that, and trying to summarize it like that is unfair to it. I can do that to many other things.
Naruto is about an antisocial kid trying to make friends.
Bleach is about a delinquent getting into fights.
So on and so forth.
@Plenair: I'd say the build up is more for the action than the emotion.
Ace's death
Merry's funeral
Chopper's teachers death
Merry's funeral

That's the plot of most adventure stories. I don't understand your point.
@mitarumetaro: could you tell me why?
When it goes on hiatus.
I cry just thinking about one piece
I cry because it is bad
