Hii, dont worry she didn't mean it, you misunderstood a bit. Skyenets has always left very nice comments for me
@ Skyenets, haha trust me I did try to get it as vibrant as I could , that was the idea behind this ! But I also had to avoid getting it too saturated, because it hurt my eyes. I guess it was just personal preference that I desaturated it, and it goes well with the background too
edit : okay I tried to make it a little more vibrant, not very drastic change but that is the max ! http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/282/5/d/illumination_by_aquariusgine-d5h5lzc.png

I liked your comment, but you could have included another sentence or two to make it more interesting.
Is it needed to applaud someones efforts just to shut them down in the next sentence? Really?
To add to this all, I must add that I am impressed by the drawing, and the one who created it.
Not too long ago I saw this drawing which was of course, not at all bad. However it had it's errors and it was not that incredibly interesting due to the lack of dynamics in it.
Now here this guy is again, after such a short time, posting this absolutely gorgeous image. Proportions have improved, lineart, colouring, dynamics, textures, lighting and something that is very lacking in the entire site, background and scenery.
Trying to shut him down? I stand with what I said, the wings are absolutely gorgeous. The rest of the drawing is really good as well. The contrast of back and foreground is harmonious and the attention for detail is certainly noticable.
HOWEVER, the warmth of vibrant colour would have done justice to this image. That is my opinion. And the artist may do with it, whatever he wants. @Pedant: however, you are not the artist, so I don't even see why you are denying my criticism as if it's yours to accept.
Perhaps I should have elaborated, but seriously, I would not dare shut this person down, after seeing the effort he has placed in his work.

There's no such thing as "shutting anyone down" going on in that comment- or maybe I don't see it. At least I don't perceive it that way. First she compliments the artist and then she gives some advice on how it could have been even nicer than it already was. That's constructive criticism. Look at what happens when I turn the comment around and change word order a bit:
"Although I think a few vibrant colours would have done more justice to the wings, they are absolutely gorgeous."
It looks more friendly, but the content and feedback didn't change. The message is the same.
