Generally how accepting are the
Japanese of white people? I heard that they don't like weaboos, or however they're spelled, at all. I'm not a weeaboo or anything and I don't like...exalt the Japanese culture, but Tokyo is a city I'd like to visit someday just to you know visit I guess along with other big cities of the world.
So my question is: does anyone know how accepting the Japanese would be of a normal white guy just visiting?
on a side note I would be considered a tourist of course, but I wouldn't be wearing cheap clothes, a fanny pack, and taking a million pictures of everything. I literally would be just some normal guy.

I have heard they tend to hate latinos
They seemed to be really accepting when I visisted Japan with my friend and I'm Viet and my friend is white.
The xenophobic nature of Japanese society displays itself to foreigners that decide to live/reside in Japan. It's a subtle thing.
If you're a white tourist, more likely than not you will be received with great respect and excitement because being able to speak english is a huge thing in Asia. Also, image is very important in Asia, and so the people want to maintain a good representation of themselves and their country.
Japanese people don't like people who generalize.
