Hayato

Should I continue my Hayato?

I have the thought of maining four different classes, and these are:
[*]Paladin
[*]Mechanic
[*]?
[*]?

So after I got Hayato to level 100 yesterday he feels more fun with skills like Rai Sanzenran, Hitokiri Strike, and Falcon Dive. His mobility is crazy fast for a warrior, and he's surprisingly durable (I hope even at higher levels) due to how he can drain hp by attacking. I can share some of my Paladin's equipment, like his hat, overall, earrings, and gloves to give him some %Str. I'm also glad Hayato has a built-in MW which can be upgraded to level 30. However, unlike my Paladin and Mechanic, for their perfect 2H BW and Gun, I haven't made a perfect Katana for my Hayato.
I have most of the good Link Skills, such as Kanna Lv 2, DA Lv 2, Xenon Lv 2, and Phantom Lv 2.

The one thing I don't like is his Counterattack and Battoujutsu Stance both trigger DR. I know if you don't put any points into Counterattack (which I left at 0), DR deaths won't happen, but it feels unfair that Xenon can counterattack and not get smashed by DR. </3 Having to toggle Battoujutsu Stance every now and then would be something I need to get used to, similar to having to turn off Teleport Mastery for Magicians to prevent dying from DR while teleporting. o.o Not too fond of Rai Sanzenran being stronger than Shinsoku, his 1vs1 skill.

As Hypers go, spammable Hitokiri Strike looks fun. Shinsoku would finally become better than Rai Sanzenran. Too bad we won't know for sure as to when Hypers come out in GMS for Hayato and Kanna.

I don't see many Hayatos out here in Khaini. The only Hayato I truly know is in my Alliance, and he's around the same level as my Paladin.

Having Hayato as a third main would bring some variety to my relatively slower mains. I'm waiting for the other Cygnus Knights to get their revamps (which is going to take forever at this point) before I choose my fourth main. As of today, my Evan, Kanna, and Bishop are conflicting upon one another for that spot.

@spasticdude ED! Never knew you had a Basil account, hehe. I still remember that our Xenon friend said that you got killed by Horntail's tail. I see that all the time in Monster Hunter, hehe

@abilas26 Sounds awesome. I saw that Hayato is a lot more durable than even Mechanic, thanks to that draining skill. Before 4th Job I felt bored, but then I saw Falcon Dive to be a fun skill, in addition to Hayato's other rushing moves.

@VietUA Aran looks cool with the Beyonder Blade combo, which is one of the most dynamic-looking skills in the game imo. It would be annoying having to track down the four skill books from bosses, though. That was bad enough on my Evan, but if I ever have a spare slot I might try Aran out. I wonder if Mechanic Dash-Jumping is similar to Aran Dash-Jumping.

@Akaizer I saw how Counterattack triggers DR even before that one video you posted on the main website. They really need to change that skill to ignore DR and deal damage higher than 1, similar to how Xenon's Aegis System missiles work. Glad that I didn't put any points in it.
I don't care too much about high damage; that's why I don't like playing classes like Kaiser, Dual Blade, and Xenon.
Although I also play a Mechanic, and my Paladin uses a 2H BW, I like the theme of Mechanics, with their transforming robot, and I'd always prefer a large hammer over a sword and shield, even before Paladin's Shield Mastery in RED is triggered by Rosaries as well. Paladins are still bulky with 2H thanks to Power Guard, Achilles, Guardian, and Divine Shield.

Thank you for your perspectives on Hayato. I'll consider him as my third main, a character that I'll play if I get bored of my Paladin and Mechanic.

DO NOT put points into counter atk, it triggers DR and sometimes DC's
Don't expect high dmg. Just have fun with it :o
Personally, as many people might agree, Hayato is a very repetitive class. Nothing new besides a longer slash and a really slow 1v1. In addition(since the range was decreased for their Aura thing and avoid rate was decreased to 90%) survival and damage don't go out very well for this class. I would actually suggest sticking to 1 or 2 classes to main. I decided to go with my F/P and Bow Master, however, things got a little hectic and turns out, its much easier to fund a bowman.

Up to some point, if you get bored of Hayato, go with another class, Aran might be a good choice. Try it out, maybe you'll like it.
Almost everything you said, was completely wrong lol. We don't actually train using JUST Sanrenzan, but with many skills actually. Falcon Dive, Tornado Blade, Whirlwind Cut, Sweeping sword etc etc. Hayato Training is made up almost entirely of combos. You'll find yourself spamming Sanrenzan almost rarely, and if you are frequently, you're playing the class wrong. Not repetitive at all. And our 1v1 isn't really slow, it just has very little %damage and using a Falcon Dive + Sanrenzan combo provides more damage. A lot of my friends don't main Hayatos because of their poor 1v1, but they admit it was one of the more fun classes they've trained. Our survivability is awesome o_o. Our avoid in general is crap, because we're Warriors, main stat being Str, so the 90% avoid cap didn't effect us at all. We do however have 65% Dodge, which is basically a flat 65% chance to miss attacks (Better than thieves/archers). We also have a proc chance to ignore 20% of the damage we take. We have low HP for warriors but more than most other classes, good enough that we can handle places such as TP. Also HP stealing skills ensure I almost never use HP pots. I don't actually recall the our Aura range being nerfed..? I find it good enough to cover a pretty large range. Only thing you got right there was the damage. Our damage is pretty poor altogether.

Let me start this off with ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB.

We are still durable at later levels thanks to our high dodge rate, I also rarely have to pot thanks to our inbuilt lifesteal. Our damage should be pretty decent as we get 30% damage from maxed cleaver and another 30% if you get all 5 willow dodge procs, also our Shimada heart as for every 100 def we have we gain 0.5% damage, so at 9999def you gain an additonal 49% damage. As for our weapons emp katanas are around 250-400m in our world and you still have 1day left to farm unleashed scrolls using your other characters. Battoujutsu stance is a pain at times but you get used to it eventually and counter attack probelm is solved by not putting points in it like you said.

For hypers i think Hitokiri strike will be used to keep up our 100% crit 40% from stance, 5% from default, 45% from hitokiri and 10/15% from phantom link. Other than that it has a big delay after using, still fun to use nevertheless. As you said it's too bad we wont know when hypers for hayato and kana come out, heres hoping soon for all the hayato and kanas out there.

Like you said there aren't many Hayatos in Khaini which means you should continue yours, imagine all the fun we can have it'll be ever so fun . PS: As of now i am now the same level as you ;D.
