I messed up. Help?
I was scrolling my LGR, so I used one prime scroll, then decided to enhance the LGR as it is so easy to get to 8 stars. I then got some hammers to gain two slots, and whenever I try to use a protection scroll, It says I cannot use it on the item. So I thought, well that sucks, so I tried to use an innocence scroll, and it also says that I cannot use it on the LGR. It says a message that the stats it has now are better than the default stats thus it cannot be used.
So what do I do now? If there is no way to scroll it with primes, what do I scroll it with now ? Help ?

Yea, i'm never going to make that mistake. I sadly made the mistake on my Dkhanjar, so I had to use ICOG to finish it off. I only got 5 ATT from 5 Luk from the last two slots, it could have been worse.

Finish scrolling then you can inno but you lose the hammer slots. However, don't enhance til you finish prot-ing
You can't use protection on starred items (they made this change a couple months ago). even the cash shop shielding wards (at least from the rewards shop, which have the same description) don't work.Meaning if you have items that were like 5/8 primed, out of slots, and you starred them for extra stats for the time being, you'll have to innocence or use different scrolls to complete it.
Did you get the LGR above average? If so that may be the reason why you can't use an innocence scroll on it. Thus you need to use a perfect innocence scroll if you want to restart scrolling it.
