What does this world/life mean to you?

Basically what the title implies. How far would you go to save the world if it went to hell tomorrow? Or not?
How do you feel about life, about being alive? What are some of your life goals?

We humans complain over the littlest things and take everything for granted. Many of us never actually get to experience/see the true wonders of the world around us.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

On Earth, there's a top layer of life that recycles itself to adapt on the imperfect environment. Living creatures are bound to their biological processes. Success and failure due to their genetics. Opinions are formed to suit their programmed urge of living. I don't believe in hell. I want stuff.

I think it's odd. How we see ourselves, each and everyone of ourselves, as a seed, a seed to grow up and become successful. And what does that get us. Yeah temporary satisfaction. But later on the brim of death, what did all of that do for us? We worked so hard to get where we were, yet, it all goes to waste. Yes we can hand our riches to our offspring, but besides that, we cant do anything but accept our fate. So, we do set goals, we strive to live for as long as can, we achieve those goals, and hope later that your children will succeed as well.

Longstory short, we live we die, there's not much to it. I know it sounds like if i think this way, i should just commit suicide, but i'm on that path. I want to be successful, lead my kids on hopefully the same successful path, and die, knowing that everything i did, is almost wasted

I enjoy certain aspects of life, the small things, the people who matter most, sure. But I personally feel that we've been making a 10,000 year old mistake that needs to be fixed. Humanity as we know it has cancer. Maybe change could be gradual, or maybe we need to shake things up a little from the inside out, or maybe everything has to go to hell first. Maybe the world as we know it needs to be purged so that the handful of survivors can start over and not make the same mistakes we've made, been making, will continue to make because we don't seem to know any better than to do such things.

Maybe I'm just plain wrong, and this world isn't sick at all, and our populations will continue to grow for the sake of growth indefinitely and we'll become ever more efficient with food production and ever more stratified in class systems and we'll use all this contrived disequilibrium to pool resources and develop the means to go to space and populate other planets and galaxies and the whole damn universe and live happily ever after everywhere, teeming masses of human flesh, everywhere.

I'm not sure. Only time will tell.

Anything. It's your life. I've always been interested in philosophy, so that kind of motivated me to do this

I feel good about being alive. I love my life and if I had the choice and there was a situation where I can save man-kind, I would save man-kind despite the faults we have.
One of my life goals is to graduate from college and make something of myself. I also want to go on Survivor and get to at least 3rd place hahahaha. I have others but this isn't a blog
