New Pc Build help

I'm planning on buying a brand new desktop PC that's capable of playing Starcraft 2, Maplestory, Minecraft and other games to come decently. My budget is $500-$600. What parts should I get? Thanks!

I'm going to take the video card off my build and just use my 9500GT for a while. Is this a good idea considering I'm not playing anything high end?
Depends what you call 'not high end', but it should be fine.

Okay, sorry for the late response but I've been scrambling around the web chaotically looking for a build that fits my budget.
Here's what I came down to:

NZT Classic Series 210 Mid Tower $39.99
Core i3 2100 $99.99
GA-H61M-S2H 1155 Intel MOBO $74.99
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1024MB $119.99
4g DDR3 CL9 Memory $15.96
Corsair 500 Watt 12 Power Supply $57.99
Momentus 320G 7200 RPM Hard Drive $74.99

Sub-total: $488.90
+Tax: 46.46
Grand Total : $535.35

1. Do all these components fit together? (I know the MOBO and i3 do)

2. Is 500 Watts enough power for this build?

Was thinking about windows 7. Should I get the full so I could use it again on another build? OEM seems risky if some part fails or I have to return something. Might just yarrrr it, but that wouldn't be possible if I can't boot it up in the first place right?

Any other comments and criticism is GREATLY appreciated! :]
500W is more than enough, in fact I'd get something less.

The hard drive you got is a laptop one.

For $10 more you can get a 7770 which is a lot better.

That HDD is for a laptop I believe. I think it'll work but it won't be secure in the bay, it'll be very loose. And for the Windows 7 question, I honestly have no idea =/ I'm not good in that area. Besides that everything looks fine to me.

Well the processors microcenter have are basically the cheapest you can find already, but the only one that gives a bundle discount is the 2500k and some motherboards, you will get 50$ off the motherboard. The first build that is around 700$ should be fine for sc2 though so I'd go with that if you can't go any higher and get the i3.

@drager260: Thanks! You're really helpful.

I'm just look to get a computer that could play sc2 decently. I'm not looking to go overboard. I heard there were a couple bundles out there that could save me alot.

The parts that I'll are linked below are almost exactly what Qwan had posted, it's tough to get a decent gaming build and add a monitor and those accessories along with the computer itself but these parts you can get from MicroCenter.

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0361035
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0385589
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0361422
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0378074
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0382272
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0361170
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0354438
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0367906
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0388089
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0334293
Total: 673$ without tax.

If you can shell out an extra 50$ then I would recommend going for this, http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0359809. The i3 in my opinion would benefit you tremendously for gaming and it'll last you a while. If you could possibly save a bit more cash then I would recommend getting the i5 2500k, it's easily overclockable when you decide to do so but you'll need proper cooling, make sure the after market CPU cooler will fit in the case though. But with these two parts below it comes out to be 801$ as opposed to the 673$ it came out to before, and these are without tax. Not sure what the tax % is where you live so expect it to go a bit over 700$ for the first build and maybe 850$ for the second.

I know it's a $130+ is a big jump but you are getting a much better mobo and processor. I would personally just try my best to get the extra money even if I have to wait a bit, I know I would regret not spending a bit extra to get the better parts later on when I want to upgrade again because I'll have the cheaper parts just sitting there doing nothing really and in the end it's just a waste of money. I'm not sure if I helped or not lo but I hope I did something at least. As I said before, I'm new to this stuff but it's quite interesting to me so I'm learning quick.

@qwan456: I'll spend up to $700 + I have a microcenter near me so that should save me a bit.

How much more you are willing to spend? This is what I had gotten: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16875091

That's without a mouse, keyboard, speaker...

You should up your budget so that you have $500 to spend on the computer itself, not including all the accessories like keyboard, mouse, etc.
Try to build your computer around an i3. Just find a motherboard with the same socket type as the i3, and then find a graphics card that is supported by the slots on your motherboard. Then find a Power Supply that has suitable wattage, a hard drive, ram, and an optical drive to install your os. You can use this as a guide line.

@ultimangex: Alright thanks. Might have to up my budget or just look for used gear that aren't part of the actual computer itself.

Any recommendations for the computer though?

@drager420: I had a laptop and sold that.

Whats wrong with your current mouse/keyboard and monitor or do you have a laptop? Itd be tough to make a build with that kind of budget

Speakers : $30
Keyboard/mouse : $35
OS: (Win 7) $110
Monitor: $100 - $300 (depends on size, could be more than 300)

that's about $300 besides the actual PC.
Doesn't really leave much room for the PC itself.

With the $200-$300 left you wouldn't even be able to build an i3.

Try for a bigger budget or find a completed computer from Wal-mart or such.
You could even go for refurbished but i wouldn't recommend.

Are you from the US?
Is things like mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers, and Operating System included in this build? Well, most likely the monitor and such isn't.
