buff skill duration question

when you have increased % for buff skill duration, and use party buffs, does it apply to everyone or just yourself?

similarly, if you have high buff skill duration +% and receive party buff, will it last longer for you?

I can also confirm that buff duration applies to the entire party (such as if a phantom with 40% buff duration casted HS then the entire party would gain HS with that extended duration)

@natty2 At one point in Nexon's history, buff duration was indeed individual despite party buffs. This was when Buff Mastery, or whatever the 50% Buff Duration Bishop skill was, could be toggled; all buffs cast on the player(Regardless of them being their own or from a party member) would be extended,

It's changed now, fortunately, but I'm not sure when. It's a welcome change, though.
@CherryTigers: And, as I tested with several friends, their HS is over before myn does.
Edit: yes, you're right, I'm wrong about this one.
buff duration I have on my skills go over to other players (ignoring their duration multipliers).
Just checked now.
Ask them to give you the number on the buff, it should match yours.

Applies to everyone so it's pretty useful for Phantoms and Bishops as buff mules.

My maple warrior lasts 28 minutes. If I use maple warrior, my whole party gets 28 minute maple warrior regardless of what their buff duration is. If my party member then uses maple warrior to overlap mine and they have 0% buff duration, I will receive a short 15 minute maple warrior from them.

@natty2 Would be a nightmare if you used HS on someone and they were crying "HS pls" really early since they had low %buff duration. Bishops have an innate 50% buff duration in their passives, as you've stated in your comment. That would make any other bishop's job on Maplestory really difficult as they wouldn't know when to re-buff their party.

Buff duration applies to each player.
So, if a buff lasts 100 seconds, And I have a 20% buff duration,
The buff would last 120 seconds for me.
If I were to buff my friend, who has 50% buff duration, he would have the buff active for 150 seconds, REGARDLESS OF MY BUFF DURATION.

[*] Remember: Buff duration doesn't affect hyper skills (so "Epic Adventure" for example wouldn't get extended)
[*] This also works on Link skills (Most notably, the Mihile skill)
[*] This is addative, so explorer mage with 50% buff duration skill, and 20% buff duration inner ability would have 70%, and not 80% (1.5*1.2)
[*] Some buffs get Hyper skills that extend their duration. Hyper skills DO AFFECT the duration of the skill on other player, and it's also affected by other buff duration multipliers. for example, if I had a skill with 100 sec duration, and a hyper skill that extends it by 10 seconds, and 50% buff duration, that's claculated as 110 original duration, time 1.5, so I'll get 165 sec duration, while my friends get 110.

buff duration applies to all buffs you cast, including those you cast on other players. But it only affects the buffs you cast, so it does not affect a buff cast by a party member
