@Tashie: Okay! ^-^ I've been to the Commerce Township myself and it is pretty beautiful, the scenery is quiet and peaceful and it's a pretty safe place, just adventure around and you should find some pretty gorgeous scenery Hope you have a great time!

@simaini lmao I get excited when I get to travel to different places I've never been before
@xylyls Thanks for the recommendation! I'm only there for 2 days so I'll try to fit that in
@Cheeps haha thank you and yes I know Detroit is pretty dangerous; but I'd love to look at some scenic areas as much as possible I'm staying in Commerce Township so I have no idea where anything would be in regards to that area

Why is there such a...thing...for Michigan? It seems like lots of Basilers are there, and people always wanna go to Michigan State for sports. It seems like a pretty boring place to me.
I know there's a few Sorento's Pizza places scattered around.. The one I had by my old house was great, maybe the others are too.
I'd recommend Tim Hortons, but you're from Canada so you have those.
There's lots of Coney Islands and small little restaurants and most are really good.
Big Boys is also a great Michigan-only restaurant I think. And Little Ceasers Pizza...

enjoy the potholes?
go up north. The scenery is overwhelmingly breathtaking. Its almost as if you've entered a new world. You'll appreciate beauty and understand the meaning of "Pure Michigan"

@xylyls: What you said is so true.

Like @xylyls said, if you want scenery go towards the north or even the northern peninsula and you'll get some pretty dam gorgeous scenery. I've lived in Lansing, Michigan my whole life and it's boring, nothing to do at all. If i wanna eat i usually go to the Buffet near me, or i'll order something. I hardly go to restaurants, i've only been to fast food places, but if you're going anywhere into the center of Michigan be prepared to have snowy roads right now (unless they melt away once you get here) either way I hope you have fun in Michigan, Stay Safe! ^-^

oh and P.S. Don't go to Detroit, super dangerous. KThxBai
Michigan has 3 of the top 10 most dangerous cities in America.
lol i was gonna say that, and we have the number 1 most dangerous city out of the 10

Yes, clearly... but from the context of my comment, I was talking about destinations that have travel alerts and warnings.

and really, that wasn't the point of my comment either. I meant that every location has distinct qualities to which I would love to explore, regardless of if a city is seen as "boring" or not.

I recommend Mexican Village Restaurant in Detroit on 18th and Bagley <3
Also head to your nearest Meijer's and pick up a bottle of Ginger Ale

Coming from someone who's lived in Michigan their whole life,, there is not much to do here. Your best bet is going UP NORTH to see all the wonderful forestry and lake views Michigan has to offer.

Have fun with the god awful roads.

EDIT : MAKE SURE YOU GO CHECK OUT OLD WOODWARD. It is an old town that is kind of hidden, but it is simply amazing.

Yeah, "Michigan" is kind of big... you'd go somewhere else in Copper Harbor than you'd go in Grindstone City.
There are just a few Chick-Fil-As here now, but if you ever hit Ann Arbor, the place to go is Zingerman's.

it depends on where you are going in michigan, i live in grand blanc, and we have just about every kind of food restaurant you could ask for, some of my favorite places are Ichiban Japanese bistro & steak house, Nuevo Vallarata (mexican), Leo's coney island, and courtyard cafe and grill,

those are just a few
