Without a doubt this is thee worst Summer Update in recent history for MapleStory. With MapleStory 2 getting hyped up and 5th job getting the silent treatment, if something BIG BIG BIG doesn't happen by winter MapleStory is going to have huge problems.[/quote]

I feel like the "Black Mage final battle" thing is just going to be another Kritias situation. High leveled content but a flop.

You know, somewhere at the back of my head I remember I was promised a 5th job with a pink teddy thingy all those years ago...maybe during the 2nd or 3rd year of Maple.
It always stared at me in the face after I logged off Maple, hinting at the pathetic existence I was which will probably never reach 3rd job (level 70) for yet another eternity, and never reach 5th job when it does come out.

6-7 years later on, I still feel like a pathetic existence as I am still Mapling, but at this point in time, I have a new companions with me as it appears that Nexon themselves has yet to reach 5th job.

Max said it's not a new job, because they would have mentioned if it was.
Then again, they could be going for a surprise factor like usual, so idk why Max flat out said no.
The only thing that makes those 2 characters look like a new job is the fact the male is holding some kind of wand and they are both in silhouette.
My initial reaction was that they were just promo characters for the cross-world event map. In a "this could be you!" sense.

An Orca and Suu fight should be cool. Especially if it's both bosses at the same time. Maple needs more chaos/unpredictable bosses imo.

Assuming they aren't saving 5th Job announcement for a cool surprise, this looks like the worst summer update in maple history. I mean, KMS summer updates are always the best ones.

well hopefully the resistance revamp will be nice. I hope mehanics still ride a mech(though I wouldn't be surprised if they redesigned them), wild hunters still ride an animal, and battle mages have some sort of aura still.
