Beam Dance vs. Snipe

At around what range does Beam Dance start out-DPSing/DPMing Snipe? I have about 840k range clean right now and I was wondering if I should use beam dance on the strong monsters in dojo or should I stick with snipe?

EDIT: I know when I start to hit cap with beam dance, it's supposed to be much better but I'm far from that right now.
you can do 30m beam dance with 3m-3.5m range? damn i must be doing something wrong with 5m range and only hitting 25m beam dances
Hence why I said "my guess"
I don't know the exact math for it but I'd estimate once your doing around 30m a line since I've heard beam dance has a cap at 8 hits per second. Also I'm at around 2.4m range clean I think and snipe is still much better. My guess is for 30m beam dance you'd need around 3m to 3.5m range clean sadly. After you hit visual cap it's mostly a guessing game though.
That's really neat. I've always believed that Beam Dance was similar to Hurricane style attacks in that it wasn't affected by att speed outside of start up delay. There's something wrong with the numbers in that thread though, can we get someone to go on like 5 different speed boosts to see if Beam Dance is actually affected or if it's just a mistake?
Another thing to take account for is that beam dance isnt affected by green pot. So in that sense, snipe is even more favored
Well the math is pretty easy. with some general simplifications. Snipe hits (50+35)*4 = 340 M and fires around 1-1.2 times a second depending on what speed boosts you're using. For the sake of simplicity, we'll assume you're on nothing except booster, in which case it's about once a second.

So, Snipe has 340 M dps.

Beam dance hits roughly 8 times a second, with 1 full powered line, and a 70% powered line from Projection. so, roughly 1.7*8 = 13.6 full powered lines per second.

To match 340 M dps with 13.6 lines, you need to have 340/13.6 = 25 M on your primary Beam Dance line.

If you're able to add attack speed with a green potion, dSI, Zero Aura, Battle Mage Aura, Beast Tamer Green/Gold Cards, etc, that increases the damage of Snipe by almost 10% per speed level.

Well it would be some range after you cap with snipe. So I guess the real question is at what range can you cap with snipe and that will also depend on your %boss and pdr. Not sure about the answer to that question but you are better off Using snipe in dojo for the stronger bosses Until you reach that range
