Some advice or tips please?

Well... I really wanted to win some art competition and had been so hyped up and excited to see the results of the judging, but now I'm just feeling really defeated and disappointed finding out I didn't make it anywhere close. I really wanted to win!

Any tips on how to just forget about the whole damn thing and just relax and enjoy myself, like I had never even entered in the first place?

Very trivial matter, nowhere near as sad as pets/family passing away threads. But any sort of advice or a tip is very much appreciated.

Also, you can share your disappointments (please keep them genuine) down below.

@BlackOpsII: Oh I get it now. But yeah, I gave it all my very best, couldn't compare to them.

I know I know but I was just saying I was motivated but wouldn't do immoral things to win.

They didn't want your art, use it as a motivation, use your anger/sadness to motivate you to make sure it doesn't happen again. If you want to be great, you can't let the small stuff get in your way or prevent you from doing what you love to do. Practice your art form ( figuratively speaking ) and just be the best you can be. You have to have a cold blooded attitude, don't care what other people think, and don't be afraid to step over somebody at the chance to show you're better.

Edit: keep thinking about it, keep thinking how you're gonna get better. If you put it to the side you're not gonna benefit from that.[/quote]

I've pretty much always been like that, except for maybe the cold-blooded bit... Very much motivated.
But it's just that I've missed out on such a rare event... I have no idea when my next chance will be.

Anyway, thanks for your advice; it is very detailed, and I appreciate it.
