Aran Am I Doing it Wrong?

So I have a 163 Aran and I had forgotten how squishy they are. Literally having the HP pool of 13k at level 163 with no defenses to compensate is a little odd.....am i missing something with the class? I mean and i doing something wrong with Aran because yeah i know the Drain skill helps a lot but that doesn't prevent those times when u get hit with a huge attack that does 5k damage then another that ko's you before you can get a hit in the activate that lovely Drain....

So im just curious about the class - Am i missing something? Any tips for someone who, probably, is doing something wrong? Lol

@win4fun: Yea if you attack them then you do damage then have a chance to seal them, if failed blah if pass the symbol would appear, the case I was explaining was new mob and u walk into it the very first time no matter what you should take touch damage after that it depends on if the seal worked or not.

@Rokani: I'm still not fully convinced this is a glitch sense this "glitch" I've been experiencing has been happening sense I first made my aran. Not sure if I'm 100% or even close to being right, but I remember someone explaining it to me that it's a feature. Also any type of damage you do activates pressure(with a chance as you explained)

@win4fun: It is glitched, the first time you get hit you trade damage and then it has a chance to seal if it fails then they should be able to hit you again and if it works a symbol should appear over the mob indicating so. At the moment you only do damage to them and never take damage this is not how the skill is suppose to work, you should only be able to deal damage if you take damage first. Also there were some bosses that were not affected by the sealing effect, Zak being one and as well as HT, but now they can't do touch damage.

@Deemon @Rokani
It's not a glitch , it's the skill itself. If you hit a mob (assuming it's not dead by then and pressure is active) a little version or symbol of pressure will apear on the side of the mob, this shows the mob is now aggroed and it will proceed to run pass you back and forth till pressure wears off. It's an old aran mechanic that's sorta out dated but really helps when you are are attacking more mobs then you can handle. (This only works for touch damage)

@Deeemon: It's gliched atm, or I really hope it is as touch damage is better to take than enemy skills, also DI's bosses name is Blackheart.

Errr, I don't know if it's just me, but Body Pressure seems to block touch damage. Like, I literally took no touch damage while passing by mobs. I even tried it on Giant Darkheart inside Dimension Invasion and it also works, I took no touch damage from it. Or maybe I somehow glitched myself really badly, I don't know. Someone else try this. Well, my Aran is level 196 so I already have level 5 Body Pressure. But it doesn't block magical attacks of course.
Is this just some secret that I didn't know about? I started playing my Aran again about 10 days ago.

There are so many ways to boost HP these days, it should never really be an issue.
Like the post above me mentioned, link skills and character cards help a ton. Definitely get a Cannoneer and Kaiser to 120 and transfer their links over to your Aran. Combined, they give 25% HP, which will help tremendously. Dark Knight's character card also gives %HP. Most set effects (Empress. Gollux, RA) also have %HP built in.
All those along with Combo Barrier and High Defense should make you a pretty decent tank.
I'm sitting at just under 50k HP clean, although I did some HP washing back in the day.

NEVER. STOP. ATTACKING.

Seriously though. With 13k hp, combo drain and combo barrier should keep you alive just fine.
Look for easy ways to get more hp if you must:
* Character cards (S rank set effect is like 700hp each set)
* Kaiser link skill
* decent hyper body
* Euphine or w/e 's boss soul (?)[was told the effect is a +%maxHP buff, not sure]

You should have enough invincibility to heal 13k easily.

You need a lot more HP. Get a Kaiser to level 70 for 10% HP Link Skill. Dark Knight character card gives 4% HP. Also getting a Cannoneer will help give you 5% more HP. Full Empress set should also give you another 25% HP.

You need more HP or more def or take hits less often, potential with 1 sec of invincibility may be very helpful.
