Well ts if you can get to 4th job for mech before chaos i would say stick with mech. You will find more people will want you for bossing if your a mech. I like the bams because they train really fast + i ahve all my equips from my bishop so my bam is funded.

On a side note for the people saying mechs get nerfed in chaos make sure you ACTUALLY read the patch notes. Mechs really only get nerf durations in there thrid jobs, drill rush has a cool down, and 4th job nothing really just minor 10% reductions. So if you can get to 4th job chaos wont really effect you at all.

@TurtleSlaves: Drill Rush, going towards the monster. The amount of distance gained from it also allows you to move onto the next mob.

That doesn't last long, at around 60-70 you have to start using hp pots actually

I have both a mechanic (76) and a battle mage (112). Battle mages are really fun to mob with and really good at straightforward training, but mechanics are fun to set up the robots and tactically train. I'm eventually getting both to 120. Both of them are really fun!

What bugged me most about mechanic is using potions, since I never used any HP potions as a battle mage. I use heaps of MP potions too. What bugs me most about battle mages is deciding which aura to use during training (pretty much dark 110+ though).

Teleport+adv dark chain= pulling the monster right next to you
faster than drill rush at least.

I got to 63 for my Mech in 3 days of playing about... 2~2 1/2 hours a day.

Then again, I have ALL equips for a pirate, seeing how I have a Bucc and an Outlaw.

yeah...about that.
im more of the type that sticks with one class.
and believe it or not my battlemage is the highest level ive EVER gotten to
so yeah i wanna be pretty steady.

Play both then. Play the BaM one day and then the Mechanic on the other, or something similar.
