Transposing and Transfer Hammer

I read patch notes and I googled transposing but could someone clarify in more detail how each one works. What I know so far is that Transfer Hammer: keeps pot if epic, and star enchantments? Uses one star when transferred.
Transposing to Sweet Water: Sort of like a miracle cube, you transpose using Denaros? <- Do you have to do Crimson Heart Castle to unlock the quest?
If someone can help me with these questions that'll be great!
Also can I transpose Utgard/Pensalir into Sweet Water and if so what are some benefits/drawbacks compared to transposing Cra to Sweet Water.

You have to unlock Commerci in order to get access to the transposing system, and then you need to pay denaros for a small chance at it working (and you can only try a couple times a day on top of that). You can transfer lvl 140 and 150 gear onto SW gear, and only onto SW gear. It trasnfers the [I]scrolling and enhancements[/I] minus 1 star, compared to the transfer hammer which only transfers enhancements, minus 1 star, and uses 100% spell traces on any empty slots.
The transfer hammer also only works on items that are 10 levels apart until a future patch buffs this to 20 level difference. So for now, you can't transfer utgard to SW using the transfer hammer. Overall though the transfer hammer is easier to transfer with, but transposing means you only have to scroll once.
