Has a class revamp ever made you quit?

I found the thread on class history pretty interesting, so I figured I'd extend that and ask this question:

Has a class revamp ever made you quit?

Throughout the years Nexon has made many quality-of-life changes that have generally improved a class, but at the same time they've removed or changed defining skills, much to the point where a class doesn't feel the same anymore. How have these changes affected you? What's your story?

Were you once a Pre-BB Archmage who loved ulti-spamming?
Or are you a former Shadower who is still disenchanted by the loss of Assaulter?
It could be any reason whatsoever.

Also, whether these revamps have affected you or not, here's a question for everyone: Which would you rather have in a revamp?
a) An improvement in damage, but your class' playstyle becomes changed.
OR
b) Your class' playstyle stays intact, but your damage stays/becomes mediocre.

Let me hear your stories.

Buccs were completely ruined, and I mourn the loss of Avenger for NLs.

I played a shadower and a night lord before BB. Then they decided to remove everything related to stealth/ninjas (reworked shadower, removed ninja storm and ninja ambush)in thieves for some reason. Then I started a NL again untill they decided to change L7/TT mechanics to this pathetic excuse for a skill QT. And I have never played thieves since then

I had to say Mechas. I was very interested by the concept but I found them a little bit complicated to play at the beginning, too many buttons; still I enjoyed the class, I felt it was more like strategic kind of class. However, after their revamp I found it became way too simplistic and eventually, without realizing it, I stopped playing the class.

I'd rather have option B. Buccaneer have been screwed over in so many revamps, they've been simplified for little reason and while the damage has been boosted, it's not good at all in comparison to other classes, particularly when you factor in our poor mobility and durability, coupled with close range attacks. I still main my Buccaneer, and it still has remnants of what it once was, but damn I'd rather have old Buccaneers back; Nexon can't even revamp them properly without staying true to the basic premise of the class that was in place, let alone have them be plagued with bad mechanics or outright glitch filled skills... but regardless of what they do, I'll always main a Buccaneer.

After all, it wouldn't be Nexon if a player didn't have a reason to complain about them.

Jett used to be a very fun class for me. I just thought that it needed a little updating in terms of power and such, but nexon completely ruined it. I can't even figure out what the main attacking skill is now...

Yes, '07 Shadower/Chief Bandit here, dood.
I'd choose option B. I didn't care about damage at all, I only played for the skills and how entertaining they were. Hayato is a good example, not good damage but fun as hell, dood. I think I have some garbage 80k range on my Hayato, but I still managed to get it to 201 because it was so fun, well my Hayato's ign says it all.
I have no idea what my main character is anymore. It keeps changing. I just play whatever I want now, getting most of my characters to 170 for the play-style experience and for the hyper attack.
Nexon doesn't care about us or any fun stuff, it's only numbers and money now.
It'd also be nice if we could choose our own skill animation versions, I like the classic Boomerang Step more, seeing those little maple leaves being cut in half, it was more sleek and cleaner, and the faster casting Haste and Booster... Savage Blow... Assassinate... even Smokescreen too...

When Dual Blades came out, I'll never forget the moment when a Dual Blade came into my map, KSed me, then left, then another came in and brought his other Db friend, I just logged out and played a Night Walker.

Buccaneer. I tried the revamp during the Mutiny patch and it just wasn't my thing anymore.

I loved DB before RED. Now its too much red with weird animations. </3 </3 </3

At first I thought the RED patch would get me even more motivated to play my bishop, but man was I wrong. All the buffs and new skills were great, but they destroyed Angel Ray. It may just be a placebo effect, but Angel Ray always seemed slower and clunkier to use after RED. I liked the old simple light animation better than the new fancy rocket horn thing too. I haven't really played my Bishop since.

I've been on the Fighter branch since I started in 2007, and there has only been 1 time I have ever considered quitting. This will sound incredibly strange because...well, it is...but anywho I've always been a defense buff, which Sader/Hero could do back in the days of yore. Sure, Power Guard, Shield Mastery, Guardian, and Achilles weren't too impressive as they were, but they were something. Big Bang was crushing since it took away Mastery and Guardian (then Power Guard got hyper nerfed and Achilles was stripped later), which kinda left me screwed because it was easier for me as a pauper to go defensive than to try being offensive and fall terribly short. I considered maining my DrK at that point since I already had a DK in the 80's, but an old Maple bro convinced me to stick to my Hero for better or worse.

Seeing as how Hero's style can't get much worse as it stands, I'd love to see Hero get reformatted into a class similar to how it was in the days of yore: we could choose to go offensive or defensive. I'd trade my already bad damage for defense any day. Heck, all it would be is adding skills to the tree. Variety is the spice of life, man.

Honestly, the only reason I'm still a Hero after all the heartbreak is pure, unparalleled, and unadulterated stubbornness. /oldtimeyrant
Nexon gave each class plenty of reasons to abandon...
Take Angelic Buster for example. I believe I don't even have to mention what they have done, to make people realise. Upon release, it was the best class in the game for a brief few months.

I didn't leave bishop because of revamps, but I do have strong opinions about the revamps we had; (barely, since the BB. If anything, Nexon only BROKE our skills, and lowered us below any other class, damage-wise).

I do like Arans, for example. Stopped playing it when the new combo system came out.
Same here with the Aran part

Btw: Where is my bishop guide?

I once had a corsair main just for the battleship. I'd be nice to explore the open seas again, but now that ship rests in a watery grave. I'll never let go.

Mine was opposite(ish.) I was going to play the BaM because of their new revamp (the one where they had the arms for attacking) but then i saw it wasn't going to come and yeah :l...

Personally, i try the revamped class out before i even consider dropping it for later. This is the case with my BaM, but even after revamps and minor changes, i still play it time to time for the heck of playing it. I don't bind myself to one class after all.

I definitely had a falling out with my Dawn Warrior when they were revamped, although I've slowly been returning to that character recently.
I stopped playing with my Perma Beginner as much once the Big Bang brought too many disagreeable changes.
But, no, I've never actually quit a class after changes were brought to it (well, unless you want to include that forgotten fad known as the STR Mage).
