How did your Ap tests go?

The first wave of the tests were just released today and mine are being released tomorrow morning. I took Calc BC, Macro, and Micro and I'll edit this with the scores tomorrow.

How did you do as compared to how well you thought you did?

EDIT: I got a 5 in all 3 tests I'm really happy about this because I wasn't sure whether I pulled off a 5 in BC or not.

@Elleee: The teachers at my school are typically pretty good at preparing their students for AP tests
How'd you get so high what the heck .. I got a 1 on Calculus AB AP and U.S. History AP and a 2 on English AP...I thought I'd at least get a 3.
It's okay bud. I got a 2 on AP Bio 3 years ago.

AP scores don't affect college decisions. Life goes on. You're worth way more than a few grades. :^)

OT: Grats everyone! I have to call CB and get my AP scores sent so I have enough credits to bring my car to campus next month. </3
I totally agree. Much harder and wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more time consuming than its AP counterparts ALL FOR LESS PAYOFF because American universities favor AP credits more.
I sooo regret doing both AP and IB back in high school.
IB is 2 years of hell yay
Yea it's (mainly) an American thing. It's quite similar to IB if you know that.

AP classes are offered in high school and are more or less equivalent of 100~200 level Freshman courses offered in universities (i.e. AP Chemistry = 100 level Chemistry, AP US History = 100 level American Survey class, etc.) AP classes that are offered depends on your high school, but many have some sort of AP English, Natural Science, Math, and History/Social Sciences classes. Some of the less common ones are like AP Music Theory, AP Comp Sci, etc.

You take AP class(es) throughout the year and get homework and quizzes/tests like you would do in a normal class. AP tests are held in the 1st two weeks of May and you take the test(s) that you signed up for. Almost always you take AP test(s) for each of your AP class(es), but you can also sign up for a AP test if you've self-studied, or just not take the AP test if you feel unprepared despite taking the corresponding AP class.

You get the results back 1st~2nd week of July for each AP test with a score ranging from 1 (worst) to 5 (best). Many American universities give credit for a score of 4 or 5 (and some 3s) on each AP test so you don't have to take the corresponding class at the university. So it saves tuition money and allows you to graduate faster, or allows you to pursue more majors/minors that you couldn't have been able to do without AP credits.

TL;DR: AP classes/tests are pretty much the same as IB classes/tests, but for AP classes all you do is take one test at the end, whereas in IB you have to do other extra crap (EEs, CAS project, Oral examinations, IAs, etc.)
IB is a pain in the ass

@chachiv2: congrats big time my man!

I guess AP testing isn't my thing but I await my Calc AB results and APUSH results as well. What a crazy junior year. HAHAHAHAHA also actually AP exams aren't bad in all honesty my school is just bitter, disgusting, and has horrible academics I mean when it comes to applying for college I'm going to stand out like crazy. I'm already in the top 10 of my class as far as GPA goes... Not sounding cocky I'm just saying trust me guys! My school is bad

Oh wow I completely forgot about my AP stats test.
EDIT: dammit mine are released this Thursday. Now you got me a little excited and I have to wait.

@chachiv2 watch 60% of the people you know who DIDN'T suffer through those classes and tests end up making more money than you anyway. Sorry.
