New 2ds or refurbished 3ds?
I plan on buying one of the two just to play pokemon x and y and I don't know which one to choose. The 2ds is $130 and the 3ds is $120. Which one is better?

2DS XL if there is/will be such a thing just because of no hinges

I tried looking on the website but couldn't find it, could you help me out here?
I bought a 3DS for Pokemon x and y. 2DS looks awkward..
@Chema The 3DS has been out for a while and there hasn't been any emulators for it. Sooo, I don't know what you are talking about.
If the 2DS could FOLD and FIT IN MY POCKET, I would totally tell you to go with that. The 3D function is terrible. Shell out the extra bucks for portability. That's what I did.
for those prices, 3ds is the obvious choice
@Chema: Emulators are for cheap asses
To be fair, the 3DS is an overpriced cheap-ass hardware
Are you kidding or no?
When a GameCube emulator came out a Wii emu was developed within months and a few months later got a stable release (roughly 1 year) due to them being very similar
The 3DS to the DS is like the Wii to the Cube
Not to mention the 3DS runs on a petty arm11 to boot
Nintendo is been known for recycling they leftover hardware since the SNES
Neither of those can play Pokemon X and Y.
They will within a year or so
trust me
If you're not completely retarded and break everything you touch, go for the actual 3DS.
You'll enjoy the Pokemon battles, Cutscenes, and most importantly Pokemon Aime in 3D a lot more.
so is the 3DS
you are better off with either an nvidia shield or a gaming tablet
Neither of those can play Pokemon X and Y.
Most people dont realize that the 2DS is meant to target the younger audience, it has no 3D feature to deal with the eye damage controversy and its not a clam shell design as the hinges can break/are fragile.
I would switch to a 2DS because I dont really use the 3D feature that often but the only problem for me is that I have the 3DS XL Pikachu Edition > >
I purchased a 3DS XL to play Monster Hunter 3U.
BEST DECISION EVER.
I personally love my 3DS XL.
3DS of course. The 2DS is just an expensive doorstop.
so is the 3DS
you are better off with either an nvidia shield or a gaming tablet
3DS. I'm not big on handhelds, but that 2DS has a horrible design. I'd pick that even if it was the more expensive of the two.
2DS is meant to be designed to be more durable and for a younger targeted audience, theres health concerns going on about how 3D can possibly be bad for your eyes at a young age but its all uncertain for now (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3DS#Health_concerns)
Only problem i find with the 3DS and the 3DS XL is that the hinges start to weaken after awhile and you can feel them wobble, also depends if you are going to use the 3D feature as well.
Theres a reason why the 2DS is being sold at the same date as pokemon, its so popular with the younger audience but parents are worried about the whole 3D thing so Nintendo had to make some kind of alternative (not all parents know how to use a parental lock option)
