@burgerboy21: Honestly even with the new change to bind, I don't notice a difference in the duration based off damage. I think incarnation is more helpful cause it might be increasing the damage dealt when it is triggered by our 5th job skill.

@burgerboy21: I am afraid that is for the Elda Bind skill that has that feature of increasing duration based on the damage dealt to the binded monster.

@dulcet: What is the significance of having spirit incarnation? Also, wouldn't it be better to have Spirit Trap since bind duration is based on damage dealt?

No because when you're bossing you'll want your fox spirits to help deal extra damage to the boss. However, as long as you have 2 spirit incarnations, 2 spirit claws, 2 bomb punches, and 2 fox spirits you will be fine.

yes, Soul splitter, bind, death marker are decent to have but only if you have everything else already because its just the initial damage that you deal. You dont use flash fist, and redemption is your revive that only procs when you die.

My goal is to get to 220 and Ill be using my DSI core and hopefully craft another good trio core with spirit incarnation on the first line so that I can enhance it with all the ones I have.

So I used sp reset and didn't add sp into 2nd/3rd job attacks and Spirit Flow only used 4th job skills and incarnation.

Edit: I messed around with it and sometimes I think the skill tries to use the unadded skills but since it's not available, it does nothing. I guess it's better for it to use the 2nd/3rd job skills than sometimes waiting 4-5 sec for it to roll a 4th job skill.

I'm using:

DSI

Loaded Dice

Spirit Flow (hate this skill, wish we had something more subtle and boss focused)

Edit: decided to remove spirit flow in exhange for another enhancement node slot. The skill sucks and the cooldown removal is not so useful.

Any cores with both spirit claw and fox orb (spirit claw at lv 20 hits 4 targets now, which makes bomb punch useless except for maintaining spirit bond max).

Im confused on the Soul Splitter core. Do we do more damage to do soul split or is the initial damage from using soul splitter increased? because if its increased final damage to the soul split. dat would b prettyt op

Bomb Punch + Spirit Claw in a node is endgame at the minimum as those are our two main skills. Having Spirit Flow I dont think any node is bad for Shade, as long as it has Spirit Claw or Bomb Punch (preferably Spirit Claw) in the node as a minimum then you should be good.

Can any of you 5th job shade tell me if the fox fire glitch doesn't affect spirit incarnation and frenzy when they comes out from spirit flow?
