In every job, find out what your main attack skill is... and don't max it. In 1st and 4th job, you can max all skills.

As for how you put your points in, it really doesn't matter too much. Look at them, think about what will be more useful as you level up and max them as you see fit.

Personally I'd put Homing Missiles higher up on your build since it's actually decent for assisting in training, both in 2nd and 3rd job. Also, max out Homing Missile Research in 4th job first since it's basically a free bossing move at only 5 levels.
