Sparkling Vs Norm Black Star Potion
I'm aware that the sparkling black star potion allows you to get unique items outta CRA as opposed to the black star potion, but
my question is: are there any other differences between the two? more specifically, does the sparkling potion have a higher chance of getting unique drops, or is it just the same? (I believe they both just say it increases the chance of getting unique tier items)
any input is appreciated!

I've always assumed they were the same 5%, but I don't actually know for sure.
Number of unique drops is ONLY dependent on the pseudo-RNG seed when you kill chaos vellum. Using a regular black star, I've seen between 3~15% of weapon drops to be unique.
I'm pretty sure it's the same chance. Unfortunately none of us can really prove it...
They both have the same description in terms of boost though. I'd assume that mean's it's the same %

No they don't.
I think they have the same chance of dropping unique.. but who knows haha
Do the potions die along with you if you die?
The difference between the two is that sparkling black star potion also works for other bosses not just inside RA, example emp/magnus.
I'm not sure but I think they're the same % chance of getting unique drops. The only difference is, the effect, just as you stated.
The sparkling one gives a higher chance to drop uniques, yes. My friend used to bring a Black Star potion on his CRA runs, and when he switched to a sparkling one he got way more uniques.
EDIT: OMG HAI JAY!
