@kira3760: I think you're only supporting Mercedes because your being biased ._. But either way, DPS doesn't matter much at bossing nowadays unless it's against PB, Empress, Ark or CHT. All the other bosses are pretty much easy enough to solo.

I guess your right. Also, read the patch notes before talking about a nerf... Mercedes has such small nerfs and bossing-wise makes no difference, just a little mob attack weakening and its mainly at earlier jobs and our rush moves Even after the nerf, Mercs have the highest DPS out of the archer classes

As for Mercs over WH during PQs & Bossing... Buffs have been degraded to a point where the only buff that matters now is MW & HS The rest are obtained through items. For PQs, WH may be picked over a Merc but during a boss run, I don't think anyone would pick SE over the highest DPS in-game.. If they don't have Decent SE already then the Mercedes is most likely going to be hitting higher anyways.

Biased post but seriously, most people are after the archer classes mainly because they "OMG I LOVE HURRICANE MM SUCK BECUZ THEY DON'T HAVE IT!11" as their main reason for choosing the class.

If you go back and read my post you'll find that I put 'IMO' before I stated how I viewed the classes. Like @WHtDaPho said, I didn't say Mercedes aren't good. I just spoke about a disadvantage. Either way, they are getting nerfed and WH are getting buffed so it adds further cause to my claim in saying WH>Mercedes. And to you up there, he was merely stating one disadvantage of the Mercedes class, in no way does the class itself suck because it doesn't have SE. It's like you're saying the other classes suck because we don't have your kind of buffs. >.<

I love how everyones like... Mercs suck because they have no SE... Decent SE Gloves are available but do I see Decent Ancient Warding? Decent Ignis Roar/Flame or whatever its called? Nope

I personally think that WHs are best. They are very mobile, have SE, and IMO goes as follows; WH>MM overall. WH>BM in mobility. WH>Mercedes because of SE. I don't know which one is faster so no opinion for that. They all seem equally as fast to me. But i do know that WHs are the cheapest one to fund. Since the books are uber cheap and crossbows aren't as expensive as bows and DBGs.

This is funny because all these children SAYING their voting for Marksman or Bowmaster actually aren't and those who are, I bet half of them are playing on a Mercedes right now but have never had a MM/BM... silly nostalgia try-hards.

Marksman or Bowmaster will be the best in the long run. They are very weak and slow from 1-70, but after that then they start to become really powerful. Mercedes will be nerfed soon, so I wouldn't make one if you're going to play for damage. If you're just looking to play for fun and you're only going to be playing for a month, choose Mercedes. If you're going to want to play for damage, choose Bowmaster/Marksman.
