Ironic Songs
Know any song that is particularly ironic? Explain to us why it's ironic too! My pick: About a Girl-Nirvana. Love how the song is about taking advantage of a girl just for sex while she takes advantage of the man for the same reason. Both think they're in control of the situation but they aren't. The "I do" repeated throughout the song, alluding to marriage vows and commitment, are a particularly bitter but aptly ironic touch.

What the hell did you just post on my thread, you little [redacted]? I'll have you know I've been a top poster on Basil since it came out and been involved in numerous secret alternate accounts that will now flame you. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your "clever" little comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn prick. The storm is coming. You're dead, kiddo.

Is Alanis Morissette's meta-irony too much for you
