Why wouldnt Nexon allow Items to be transferred via storage
Look at it from an intelligent perspective (Nexon doesn't)
All the hackers got banned and the exploit was patched. If you didn't hack, you don't have all of the ITEMS that the hackers were getting from the exploit.
Say your main, or your merchant character has a huge amount of mesos because the hackers bought something. Don't let us use those mesos, why hellban items I'VE HAD FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. I didn't get my Evo Rings and Specs and Nova boots and Cape due to this stupid hack. Why would I have to suffer and have my mechanic locked from getting his equips (they were xfered to train link mule). That's literally the laziest solution. OH GOD WE SCREWED UP? MAKE SURE NO ONE CAN DO ANYTHING.
tldr: Let us trade items we've had forever.

I understand your point of view and I agree. I've recently started playing Maple after playing WoW maybe, 4 years ago. I couldn't fathom how Nexon was still able to hold this game up with the stuff that they pull. Instead of actual work/communication with players to create a better more stable game, they just don't care. It doesnt help that the majority of Maple players are too busy fighting/bickering with each other instead of hassling Nexon about their absolute BS rules. However I have come to realize that since Maple is still F2play, they can do whatever the hell they wanted. Now, if instead they made it $10 a month, then they could actually be held accountable for things such as having steady servers, balanced classes, normal features that games usually have (why the hell don't we have an auction house and why do i have to spend 70 cents to search for an item). Eh Free 2 play. Honestly, 60% of the reason I've gotten hooked on Maple is because of merching, but this Hellban is just killing me

Why can't they just make all untradeable equips account bound but tradeable instead ?
@Thiefy996: They've been doing a little better as of late. They've been finishing their patches/emergency patches fairly quickly as of late. Also "emergency fix-ups" are needed in not just ms; production drops will sometimes have issues as well and need "emergency patches". Sometimes coding just doesn't work out the way you want it to and there are bugs that need to be fixed. What does kind of piss me off about nexon is that they don't work on weekends... they should've caught the exploit faster.

I am also a computer science major, I run the systems management branch of the Prudential center in New Jersey, I know for a fact that this game runs off the most basic operation of the open sourced MySQL server due to the cracked server files for MPS always requiring a knowledge of MySQL to run.

I am a merchant. I am infamous in Bera, and whether I like it or not I cannot do what I do on a day to day basis with any form of hellban. This comes from a Maplers standpoint of people who want to train and job advance and buy potions and CANNOT due to the fact that they are hellbanned.
Basil thread about 3 hours ago with a Xenon who can't job advance because of a full inventory for what? They really need to know if those Orange Mushroom caps we have in our ECT items are hacked or not?
If a massive multimillion dollar company cannot use logic to sift through the accounts that were hellbanned then they really don't deserve to run a game.

You are selfish. You are only concerned about being able to trade your own items. It's regulation. You take it for granted and assume that the problem is smaller and easier to manage that you think just because the game server runs on MySQL. What if they cannot perform x because of y. You don't know the entire story, and yet you are behaving irrational and making hasty conclusions.

They don't have time to go through every single account involved to analyze each one individually so they lock item trade on all the possible accounts that can be the hacker. Damage control.

I agree that it's unfortunate. You cannot reason with people like this. They are indulged by self interest and are unaware of what occurs in reality like regulation in a MMORPG. This game is a disease influencing the youth to become delusional.
It's called damage control. In order for them to react quickly they need to isolate every single character involved. After that, it's just a matter of time looking into each character. Can you imagine how long would it take Nexon to do what you are asking? On every single character? I'm surprised you are 26 and think they are being lazy.

@Karrie: I'm not a kid by the way, I'm 26, I've been to college and I already have my pencil pushing job, so that money is my money I set aside for fun. I guess I just never grew up. Oh well, I don't judge any of the older players and I would hope they don't judge me.

It'll be much harder to isolate the specific items, hence a blanket solution is the quickest solution and they want to keep patch time to a minimum and game time to max so people can spend more money
i agree, but it'll slow them down probably, and nexon + slower = never getting done so ... guess we'll just have to deal with it
