selecting your reboot class

Just as a hint, when trying to decide what class to play in reboot, you should probably keep your ability to play that type of character in mind. When was the last time you tried to boss/job advance/pq while unfunded? It is gonna be pretty tough to do certain things especially without scrolling/spell trace. I know for a fact that certain classes like corsair, shadower, and maybe bucc (for explorers) are going to have a hard time doing 4th job advance because it requires so much defense/hp/potions you name it. Just something to keep in mind.

Edit: Also if ANYONE has blizzard cape or metalic arm in Mybckn hit me up, I need them anviled.

@fradddd: What I mean is we're going around the time of LHC and CWKPQ's difficulty level, not necessarily that we're getting them back.

I want to play an Evan for the Revamp. Kinesis to give it a try. and Thunderbreaker as main, because I havnt played since their revamp and I always loved them. And suddenly i love them more. They actually feel fast light lightning now

@chaosh I'm hoping it'll screw over all the people who always say "Drakes 40-70".
@charles0012 which is what it should be like in the first place. Going with the flow.

First things first make a Mercedes for the lvl 2 link skill. Then ill either work on another link or 2 than finally pick a main. Probably an Evan since they will be getting revamped soon and it's been awhile since I played one.

Honestly between the millions of mesos we get for leveling up, and the new damage scaling. The only thing that i see being hard are the top tier bosses. Anything above Chaos Zakum. The rest we'll be just fine with. Only difference is you have to fund yourself by playing THAT character. So for people like myself. Who never really bought nx to fund myself, i used my high level characters to boss and fun myself. Now you cant. You can only use what you find on that character. So no more prepping before a class. You gotta just go with the flow

EDIT: The above post reminds me. The 3 4th job adventurer deck is a must. the 700 hp/mp is honestly so useful until level 70 or so. And is a game changer up until 50. I made a new character in Khani, just to try my thunder breaker unfunded to get used to the damage, and without that hp i could no longer just level up and refill before running out until level 30. And 30-50 I saw myself mashing the pot button 2x as much

Something to keep in mind: From this post and the Orange Mushroom's blog:

Monsters have x10 the HP (and only x3 the exp, x5 the meso, slower EXP if you can't 2 or 1 shot the monsters, faster otherwise) and 'depending on the level difference between the monster and your character, some combat numbers may change'. Hopefully it actually means higher level monsters do more/take less damage instead of the stupid '5% accuracy penalty' they had in BB, but anyways, it might be wise to actually take advantage of Theme Dungeons and other quests rather than rushing to Drakes at level 50.

That being said, I would personally recomend working on at least a bunch of level 70 character cards/link skills (remember, character cards are world-wide buffs) before going to far on the main character.

@ceseva stop my memories are flooding back
@kiitsune
1st: max everything
2nd: max everything but Piercing Drive (main attack in 2nd I think)
3rd: max everything but the one that lets Evil Eye roam free cause that's dumb
4th: max everything

@xaiosun: If you've played the class before RED (or even before BB) you'll be more than fine. And even if you're bad, the fact that it's not so spoonfed might make the challenge actually fun

Those days when you would go down the ludi clock tower at lvl 40 just to get holy water cures so you can lpq and get rid of seal from the boss are never coming back.

OT: bishoppp. because I assume you can still get jr. boogie familiar and then I would just heal myself :x
Though right now ms keeps crashing for me...

I'm most likely going dark knight, I'm kind of bored with my nightlord on regular servers so I want a change of pace for once.

That being said, what skills do I max?

@imaclubyou: I'm pretty sure it's the same version but just harder monsters

@imaclubyou what do you mean "is going back to around the time". You mean in difficulty in fighting bosses? Cause I don't think we're getting LHC back.

Havent seen the reboot gameplay but I'm doubting the game is THAT much challenging. For all the kiddies that were born with potential already available, the game isn't that challenging. Sure you may die, but it comes with the game.

From the trailer it looks like the game is going back to around the time LHC and CWKPQ were popular, not back when people smega'd that one Zak arm was taken down after 3 hours.

As for the class I'm gonna make... probably an Aran.

Thanks for the tip, bro.

I'm torn between Lumi, Mihile and Dragon Knight.

@fradddd thats what I'm trying to say. People should pick a class they would be best at. I plan on doing nl and am best at quick burst while trying not to let the enemy touch me. So night lord should be OK considering I've fought every boss a whole bunch.

I don't know, I don't have much experience bossing besides with my Hero who was a Paladin for that awesome post-RED buff, and a Dark Knight before RED. The Paladin was really easy to use with Magic Crash and super high defense and the high damage it used to have. Hero isn't too bad but I gotta repot relatively a lot for a warrior.

I die a lot trying to boss with my Night Lord.
