Shadower

Post Big Bang - Shadower SP Build

I've been noticing a lot of threads asking for shadower builds so I made one. It's pretty specific from 120~200. It also has what to max/what not to max for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd jobs. This is my first build so don't be to harsh xD

[header=R]1st Job - Rogue[/header]

What to max -
Dark Sight (DS)
Nimble Body

The rest is preference.

Explanation -
Dark Sight will be used in 4th job for assassinate and for hiding. Nimble body gives free avoid.

[header=B]2nd Job - Bandit[/header]

What to max -
Savage Blow (SB)
Haste
Dagger Booster
Dagger Mastery
Shadow Resistance

What NOT to max -
Steal - Leave this at 11

Explanation -
Savage Blow is used for bossing later on. Haste gives you max speed and almost max jump (not counting mounts). Booster speeds up all of your attacks. Dagger Mastery makes all of your attacks stronger. Shadow Resistance gives 10% HP, and the extra bonuses are useful.

Steal is left at 11 to max everything else. 11 is enough to get you to lvl 70.

[header=CB]3rd Job - Chief Bandit[/header]

What to max -
Band of Thieves (BoT)
Shadow Partner (SP)
Flash Jump (FJ)
Meso Guard (MG)
Meso Explosion (ME)
Pick Pocket (PP)
Assaulter
Dark Flare (DF or Flare)

What NOT to max -
Chakra - Leave at 3
Shield Mastery - Leave at 8

Explanation -
BoT is your main mobbing move until 4th job and throughout 4th job. SP raises your DPM and meso output. ME is your main bossing move. PP makes mesos for ME. FJ is for mobility, which boosts training speed. MG cuts all damage taken by 50% (ex. You get hit 10k, it will show you getting hit 5k instead). This also greatly helps when a boss 1/1's you. The HP part is cut in half also. Assaulter hits pretty hard and, if used properly, can be a great mobility move. A basiler, don't remember who, said flare stops BGA/BGB from spam stunning you. This would save your life while fighting them.

Alternative 3rd Job Build
Many people don't like flare because they think 20% extra defense from shield mastery is better. Honestly, it's not worth losing DF because of BGA/BGB. But, if you still decide not to max DF just to max shield mastery, you might aswell max chakra also. If flare isn't 20, it's pretty useless. When it's lvl 20, and only at 20, the duration = the cooldown.
Chakra - Maxed
Shield Mastery - Maxed
Spare points can be dumped in steal, dark flare, or anything in 1st job.

[header=S]4th Job - Shadower[/header]

Congrats on making it here!

Skills -
Boomerang Step (BStep / BS) - Maxes at 30
Assassinate (Nate) - Maxes at 30
Meso Mastery (MM / Greed) - Maxes at 10
Shadow Shifter (SS / Shifter) - Maxes at 30
Smokescreen (SS / Smoke) - Maxes at 30
Maple Warrior (MW) - Maxes at 30
Taunt - Maxes at 30
Venomous Stab (Venom) - Maxes at 30
Ninja Ambush - Maxes at 30
Hero's Will - Maxes at 5
Echo of Hero (Echo) - Obtained at level 200

120: 1 BS, 1 Shifter, 1 Smoke
121: 2 BS, 1 Nate
122: 3 BS (6)
123: 3 BS (9)
124: 3 BS (12)
125: 3 BS (15)
126: 3 BS (18)
127: 3 BS (21)
128: 3 BS (24)
129: 3 BS (27)
130: 3 BS (30)
131: 3 MM (3)
132: 3 MM (6)
133: 3 MM (9)
134: 1 MM (10), 2 Shifter (3)
- This is a basic start-up build that is HIGHLY recommended. The rest depends on funding/preference.

135: 3 Shifter (6)
136: 3 Shifter (9)
- Stop here if you can't afford shifter 20 and move on to MW
137: 3 Shifter (12)
138: 3 Shifter (15)
139: 3 Shifter (18)
140: 3 Shifter (21)
- Again, stop here if you can't afford shifter 30 and move on to MW
141: 3 Shifter (24)
142: 3 Shifter (27)
143: 3 Shifter (30)
- Shifter gives you 45% evasion at max, which will really help and save pots.

144: 3 MW (3)
145: 3 MW (6)
146: 3 MW (9)
- Stop here if you can't afford MW 20. (Skip down to where nate/smoke starts)
147: 3 MW (12)
148: 3 MW (15)
149: 3 MW (18)
150: 1 MW (19), 2 Nate/Smoke (3)
MW gives you a really high damage boost. Level 9/10 = 5% all stats. Level 19/20 = 10% all stats. Level 29/30 = 15% all stats. And IIRC, %stats from potential equips are added AFTER MW gives it's buff. If you can afford MW30, max it right now.

- This part you have 2 options: Max nate if you want to hit high damage numbers OR Max smoke if you want 1 whole minute of god mode.
151: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (6)
152: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (9)
153: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (12)
154: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (15)
155: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (18)
156: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (21)
157: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (24)
158: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (27)
159: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (30)
- If you can get into a group that HTs/CZaks/CHTs/PBs a lot, max hero's will right now (or you could raise it at 150). Otherwise, continue following this guide.

- Next would be what you didn't pick (nate/smoke) going from 150~159.
160: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (4)
161: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (7)
162: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (10)
163: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (13)
164: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (16)
165: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (19)
166: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (22)
167: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (25)
168: 3 Nate OR 3 Smoke (28)
169: 2 Nate OR 2 Smoke (30), 1 Venom (1)

- Next you get venom for a bit of extra damage. (~ +10% damage according to @j0s3a4d )
170: 3 Venom (4)
171: 3 Venom (7)
172: 3 Venom (10)
173: 3 Venom (13)
174: 3 Venom (16)
175: 3 Venom (19)
176: 3 Venom (22)
177: 3 Venom (25)
178: 3 Venom (28)
179: 2 Venom (30), 1 Taunt (1)

- Everything important is maxed now, so let's get taunt for extra exp outside of LHC/LKC.
180: 3 Taunt (4)
181: 3 Taunt (7)
182: 3 Taunt (10)
183: 3 Taunt (13)
184: 3 Taunt (16)
185: 3 Taunt (19)
186: 3 Taunt (22)
187: 3 Taunt (25)
188: 3 Taunt (28)
189: 2 Taunt (30), 1 Saved Point for MW30 (1)

- Now you can either save points or get ninja ambush for fun. At least save for MW 30. Saving for MW is only if you didn't max it when you were 15x.
190: 3 Saved Points for MW30 (4)
191: 3 Saved Points for MW30 (7)
192: 3 Saved Points for MW30 (10)
193: 1 Saved Point for MW30 (11), 2 Ninja Ambush OR Save (2/13)
194: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (5/16)
195: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (8/19)
196: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (11/22)
197: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (14/25)
198: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (17/28)
199: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (20/31)
200: 3 Ninja Ambush OR Save (23/33)

Also, you could use 2 4th job points to max out shield mastery since you have 23 spare if you don't raise ninja ambush.

That's pretty much it. I'll add some inspirational videos at the bottom also. If you have any questions, comments, or if I missed anything, feel free to ask me or comment

@froobinator5: Nope, you get it when you advance.
@omgbutters030: That's what this guide is for.

@byeHTbellocan: I don't really think that's necessary. And plus, I don't know prices of any other world :S
After you maxed all your main skills, I would go back to maxing Shield Mastery and forget about Ninja Ambush and Taunt completely. LHC is where most people train now and Taunt doesn't work at LHC. Even outside of LHC, its ability to increase exp/hour is questionable. (I know it used to be good, but BoT is much stronger now, so... someone go test it out?)

I personally went back and maxed Steal with my remaining points thinking one day it might be useful to me when collecting phantom seeds/ToT masks/event items. So far I have used it in a total of 0 times. But I don't train my Shadower anymore, I can waste my points.
Taunt isn't completely useless. Say you go to ToT to farm some PoTs for money. Taunt would at least give you some extra exp while you hunt.

It's a great guide!
Although I agree with @finalshot
I also have max chakra and it helps a lot at dojo
soo, when you become a shadower, the system gives you 3ap?
or is that you can use the 3ap leftover from 120 before the advancement
I loved chakura, i maxed it and left shield mastery at 0, it really helps at dojo
When you advance to any 4th job class, you get 3 free SP and 5 free AP. Leaving shield mastery at 1? It actually does help at 8 though :S

u get 3, and i concur
as a person who has max chakra, its useless, unless you're too cheap to pot when you're hit, you dojo a lot, or you're on pot lock

uh, why do you put 3 points for lv.120 at 4th job
shouldnt you be getting only 1 sp when becoming a shad?
I disagree about NOT maxing Chakra. Chakra is a definate max. It helps during bossing and it helps when your out of pots when your training.
The casting time takes WAY to long to do during a boss run. Plus, you can't be on a ladder. What would you even take out? Flare? Flare actually does help.
does disorder still make the monster non-agressive? (like back to its state before you hit it for the first time?)

Awhile ago it used to do that, so disorder could be used in "Oh crap" moments xD
Here's what it says in game:

Disorder:
"Temporarily decreases an enemy's Weapon Attack and Defense, eventually neutralizing the monster's attack. Cannot be used on the same monster repeatedly."
[Current Level 10]
MP Cost: 10, Duration: 60 sec, Enemy ATT: --20, Enemy DEF: --10%

On my Bandit when I got the SP Reset from BB I put L7 to 16 for the lolzies and maxed everything else.
I'm not sure how much does the avoid of Nimble Body helps Post-Chaos, so I would max it just in case.
And Disorder is never used and probably won't ever be used unless Nexon releases mobs with a lot of hp (and a lot of exp) that are not boss-tagged.
Also I would rather do Venom before Assassinate, it might be because I have it at Level 4 but I just don't see myself using it often while Venom is free damage always.
I made a sindit recently and I got everything required maxed... Nimble body, keen eyes, dark sight(3 disorder), and lucky 7. I even got an extra 3 points for double stab. I don't know what youre talking about needing to sacrifice disorder or nimble body. The only reason you put points in disorder is to unlock dark sight, right?
Yeah, but some people just throw the spare points into disorder instead of L7 or double stab.

@SpikesCafe: So sacrifice disorder. Do sindits even get double stab?
To be fair, 1% extra avoidability (Shifter), .5% all stats (MW), more damage from Assassinate, and 1 extra second of Smokescreen are also not incredibly useful.
Chaos also includes an SP reset. Is this a post-Chaos guide?
Wasting that point could stall a skill from maxing at some level. If you don't max nimble body, what else are you gonna use those points on? The more avoid the better xD
Looks good, but max Nimble Body really isn't that important with the current avoidability system. The only essential first job skill is Dark Sight.

I'm also not sure why you talk about not being able to afford MW20, but Shadow Shifter 20/30 is not mentioned as a cost concern. In Scania, MW20 = 80M, SS20 = 150M+, SS30 = 100M.

I also think an earlier point in Venom, somewhere in 13X, is a point well spent.
I've talked to a shadower with 1 venom and my bro has 1 venom on his NL. It pretty much sucks at level 1 Chaos makes nimble body give more avoid, so yeah it's worth it. I guess I could put in shifter. 150m in scania for 20? It's 80~100m here xD
