Well guys looks like the F - 35 is almost in service
So you guys had better wished the F - 35 planes luck that the 1.5 trillion dollar, and more to come, spent on them were worth it, because from what I'd seen about it's performance, it has worse maneuverability, s****y dog fighting abilities, than the planes it's intended to replace, namely the F - 16.
Why they downgrading
Because our government is stupid enough to think that a slow ass piece of junk would never encounter another jet at extremely close range since Russia and China obviously does not have their own stealth fighters that they are going to export to their allies, like Iran and etc.
Edit: The truth is the military arms industries is more corrupted than you think. For example the development of the F - 22, the truth was the YF - 23 performed better than the F - 22 in the listed quotas for the 5th gen. The only thing that F - 22 had was thrust vectoring which is not that useful since recent combat testing show that even the SU - 30s with their 3D TVC is a liability if it's used wrong, such that even a F - 16 can destroy the SU. The problem was Lockheed Martin had "connections", you could say...
